Expected Cuts

    Today the Montreal Canadiens cut 6 players:

    Goalies: Carey Price, Olivier Michaud

    Defensemen: André Benoit, Jonathan Aitken

    Forwards: Kyle Chipchura, Michael Lambert

    No real surprises here. The real important cuts are the last to be made. Hossa, Plekanec, Higgins, Hainsey, Komisarek and Streit all hope to avoid the axe and get a chance to start.

    With regards to the players named as possible cuts, Komisarek should not be on the list as he has been a shoe-in since the camp started.

    well i think carey price shound’t b cut cuz his name is easier to say then all the other ones

    • PACTUM SERVA : Yep your right. I just hope this team shows up with some fight on saturday. Boston will be throwing their weight around again. The team needs to make a statement early in the game. Gut check time.
    • groundworking : Backhands are hard to read. I thought it was a very smart play--risky, because they're also hard to aim, but smart.
    • groundworking : I couldn't agree more about Price and O'Byrne. He's soft, which isn't something that one normally has to say about someone his size. Price is incredible, though. Very good. He's the only reason they've even been close this past few games.
