Kovalev to return this week

    RDS is reporting that badly missed sniper Alex Kovalev is set to make a return from knee surgery Thursday or Saturday of this week. Kovalev is known to be a quick healer but this seems very early. Should Kovalev start Thursday he will have missed only 11 games after being cut open and scoped.

    This is great news for the Canadiens as long as he is 100% and doesn’t risk further injury.

    Scoping can be a fairly quick healing process depending on what they had to do when they were in there.

    I just had my knee scoped at the start of October though, and I’m certainly not recovered enough to play NHL calibre hockey :) It sounds like mine was a little more serious than Alex’s though.

    Boy do we need him back!

    • PACTUM SERVA : Yep your right. I just hope this team shows up with some fight on saturday. Boston will be throwing their weight around again. The team needs to make a statement early in the game. Gut check time.
    • groundworking : Backhands are hard to read. I thought it was a very smart play--risky, because they're also hard to aim, but smart.
    • groundworking : I couldn't agree more about Price and O'Byrne. He's soft, which isn't something that one normally has to say about someone his size. Price is incredible, though. Very good. He's the only reason they've even been close this past few games.
