Revenge in Toronto

It doesn’t take much reason to get fired up for a Leafs and Habs game. If the Habs require any extra motivation all they have to do is think back to April 7th when they squandered a lead and failed to beat the Leafs to advance to the playoffs.

Putting the Leafs down 0-3 to start the season in front of the Toronto crowd and all of Canada would be as good as it gets this early in the season.

For anyone who has watched or listened to Habs games on Hockey Night in Canada in the past, you are no doubt familiar with the Toronto tandem of Harry Neale and Bob Cole’s and their sickening pro-Leaf infused commentary.

Well it may be the last we’ve heard.

Harry Neale took a job doing color commentary in Buffalo and no longer works for LeafsNet although he will continue sparingly with CBC.

Though the 70-year-old analyst will continue to work for Hockey Night In Canada, he won’t be calling as many Toronto games as he has in the past.

Neale and Bob Cole often worked almost exclusively on Leaf games, but the CBC will be moving its announcing crews around more this season.

    Sadly we may never hear…

Hefully the game won’t sound like it is being called by people that are on the Leafs pay roll any more. But eater way it will be one hell of a game.I am a HABS fan but look ut for the Leafs toight after back to back losses to Ottowa. They wil be looking for blood ( the fans i mean if T.O. lose) and the playrs know that. The last thing they want tod is to go 0/3 to there biggest rivles. We will have to contain there top line and hopfuly they will use Markov/kommi to stop them … Brezze can’t handle Sundin,so lets let Kommi try this year. GO HABS GO….

I still liked the leafs fans commentators more than the RDS idiots. Cut the guy some slack, he’s from TO. It’s not like he wasn’t born like that.

    Go Habs Go

Neither jessef. Maybe Sundin in goal so we can really stick it to them.

All joking aside, Raycroft is the only choice they are going to go for so i don;t think there is any doubt he will be there number one. Also would be nice for Ryder to score a hat trick on him after he usurped his Calder trophy for 03/04

the fearless prediction dept……is officially closed.

look for a blood sport type war tonight though….why do we always play the leafs right after they got their asses handed to them….never fails.

I’m in the east ( Fredericton) and have already received emails from as far away as Vancouver today regarding tonights game…..sheesh….the boys have gotta pull through. What a boost for the moral and confidence it would be for us to upset the leafs tonight.

    fingers crossed..

oh, and I much prefer to watch it on RDS…..if some of the clowns in the west have a problem with it, simply watch the tranna feed, with the tranna hype and sadly, the tranna mentality.

5-4 habs in regulation….sigh…couldn’t help myself

Why did the Habs loose the last games last season?

    Heres 3 reasons.

    1. Carbo putting Huet in net.

    2. Huet in net.

    3. Carbo not taking out Huet after the 3rd goal.

    Same thing this season.

    Well, Well, Well.

HUET GIVES ANOTHER GAME TO THE LEAFS.

If that **** head is in net the next game I will throw up. Every goal he should have had. Send that down to Hamilton.

    THAT PIECE OF DOG ****.

some things never change! The sun rises everyday, and we lose to the leafs ALL THE F#@$%^&*(ken TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don’t we get tired of losing to that team??
Obviously, Carbo learned absolutely N O T H I N G from that loss in the last game of the season! Exact same scenario: we’re up by 2 goals, get scored on at the end of the 2nd period, and leafs tie it up in the 3rd and win it!
Huet was lousy, and our D was absolutely TERRIBLE! everyone talks about how bad leafs D is, but ours is WORSE!!!!!!!!
Huet shouldn’t be playing, and Breezer is only good for giving away the puck!!
No PP, no D, and no goaltending!!!!!!!!!!!!! Carbo, what the hell are you doing?

Regardless of all the politics’s an enjoyable second game of the season.Yes ,I agree there is more than fine tuning envolved, but on the upside the more the veterans choke ,the faster we get rid of them! Bring on the other Bulldogs!”LAPIERRE ,Halak etc.. How many times do old man Sundin have to remind every one that were to small and soft to be a contender!!! Man ,we gots some great players though, something to build with, which is very cool!!!

I intensely dislike losing to the piece of …. Maple Jokes. This has to end. And why is Brisebois back anyway? I like Dandeneault as a winger, it’s his natural position and he works well on the hound line with Begin and soon, Chipchura.

The leafs a way better than the habs this year, like every year u guys will say that we are the worst in the league. stop saying that the leafs suck!!!!

P.S. any time i’ve ever said to a habs fan that the leafs are better this year, you guys always say that they were better in 93′. that won’t do u much this year, so get your head out of the history books!!!

i agree with what most people are saying about brisebois, hes slow, weak and a *****, he did have one nice move which almost gave us the victory but he isnt good enough to be playing as much as he is, hes a number 6 defencemen at best. hes not better than bouillon so why is he playing more than him, same with streit. gorges and o’byrne are way better and play with grit, get them playing and release breezer. huet made one mistake playing the puck behind the net, givethe guy a break. the guy made the all star game last year and brought us to the playoffs the year before, so get off his case, although i would like to see him traded for a big centermen and play the two young guys.

as for the leafs getting better… i guess kilger is one of the best second line centers in the game playing with pohl, and sundin is looking young, blake looks like a healthy guy, battaglia and devereaux were highly touted by other teams and the leafs managed to hold on to them, they have two number one goalies and their defence is the quickest in the league ohh and paul maurice is ***. sounds like another golf season
