Hurricane Warning

The Habs are set to play the Hurricanes for their third time already this season. They probably couldn’t have drawn a worse time of year to face them so often as the Canes are one of the hottest teams in the league. Looking a lot more like they did two years ago when they won the Cup then they did last year missing the playoffs.

The Habs handed them their first loss in their home opener and look to steal another one before heading to Pittsburgh tomorrow.

Huet plays tonight and Price will play on the road in Pittsburgh where he won his first career start.

ON the Road, with the hotest team in hockey, we should not under estimate the Canes. They have been gaining momentum every since their win on our home opener and one game against the B’s does not automatically cancel out our woes of Offense, although it shows signs we are capable. We do meet up with the Canes team facing some key injuries, but that hasn’t turn their force into a breeze or even a tropical strom yet….

One game, one period, one shift at a time.

    Go Habs Go

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh! I’m so happy. Ever since the Canes beat the HAbs out when they won the cup, it seemed the Canes were over cocky when meeting the Habs. I know it’s early but I’m enjoying this team and the way they’re playing. Who knows what’s gonna happen but it’s nice seing games like this…Keep it up Habs.

On a side note, noone mentions that if it weren’t for Koivu’s eye injury the Canes would have been eliminated, instead of winning the cup.

Duh if they play like this all year they will finish first… Looks like some people might have opened their mouths a little early and started to slam the team before the season started, where are the nay sayers now?

I am sure they will be back as soon as The Habs have a bad game we will see the same old blame game start again.

Great to see The Habs are able to compete with any team on any night, night after night… here’s to hopeing they keep doing this all season…

    GO HABS GO !!!

I don’t want to seem pessimistic, but weren’t we all happy like this last year at this time? Remember what happened after the new year started? so I’m reserving judgement until that point of the season , because that seems to be the same time ,every year, that this team collapses. Let’s be cautiously optimistic. slow as the team goes.

Two things that have improved so far is their ability to get the puck out of their own end,
and to win two games in a row in convincing fashion. Also, this year’s Kovy is very
different - not just the goals, but the on-ice attitude.

Goaltending, PP and PK still rock!

My only concern right now is the 5 on 5 goal production. If the team fixes that aspect
it will be a major force in the east.

    Enjoy tonight’s game boys!
