17 goals in 3 games?

Uncharacteristic Habs hockey to say the least.

Unsurprisingly those 3 games were all Hab Wins.

Can they keep it up on the road in Pittsburgh?

Carey Price will get his 3rd start of the year tonight against the same team and in the same building he got his first career NHL win.

If the Habs can keep hitting the back of the net, I can’t see why Price wouldn’t get his second win.

Why is Latendresse on the PP? Carbo must be brain desd!
And Price isn’t ready for the NHL. He keeps letting in goals thru the 5 hole.
      He’s definitely NOT READY!

Nice win for the good guy’s!Price should allway’s do shootout duty, like a relife pitcher in baseball”he just stoned the MIGHTY PENS !” after all it’s Huet’s shortcomming.
I must say I feel very proud of way the team is playing and as a lifelong fan……HABS RULE……………………………….

After we build up a lead, we always stop playing. We were lucky to win this game, because the 2nd and 3rd periods belonged to Pitt.
Why is Latendresse on the team instead of Lapierre? He belongs in the minors. He’s totally USELESS!

Why is Garth Murray on the team? I would rather Latendress on the team than Murray.

Latendress has the potential to be a powerforward. Garth Murray is a watered down version of Begin. get rid of Murray and bring up Lapierre

But yeah, don’t worry, be happy.

Did Price look a little nervous last night? I think he should be sent to Hamilton as the starter; Halak backup. Take Danis up as Huet’s Backup, Trade him along the way, take Price back up. That way Price isn’t sitting too long riding the bench. He needs more playing time.

Right so he let in a bad gaol and after that? He stoned the Pens all the way into the Shootout and Stoned them again… the mark of a great goalie is they let in a bad one, but then they just slam the door for the rest of the night… only thing brain dead around here is guys like you .

Price is doing quite well. He needs to learn the ridiculous pressure of playing in Montreal from guys like chevy…
With Huet playing the way he is and Price doing a stand-up job “learning the ropes”, the Habs are in very good shape in goal. The confidence just seems to ooze out from their own end.
Reminds me of last year until the bug hit…
The differences to watch this year: power play is multi-dimensional, Huet will not be worked as much, and Kovy’s come to play!!

You don’t have a clue about Price. Talk sense Dude. Huet is not our Savour.

To everyone: HOW MANY SOFT GOALS HAS HUET LET IN. HUET’S SOFT GOALS COST THE HABS A PLAYOFF BIRTH LAST YEAR WIN WE PLAYED TO IN THE LAST GAME….

Chevy, this is last time I read any of your comments, you’re a horrible fan really, can’t even celebrate a win (or 4 in a row)…this team is by far exceeding ALL expectations..

You speak as if you should play on their behalf… all old, cranky, and sweaty and cursing your 13″ TV all night long… wake up bud, were WINNING!

All this negativity sounds like Toronto Laffs fans… get over yourself, thats 4 wins in a row for the good guys!!!

GO HABS GO, thrash the Thrashers!

just my humble opinion….don’t get your panties in a bunch.

All I am saying about Price is that he needs more playing time. Huet is playing really well right now so why should our goalie of the future be riding the pine. He should go to Hamilton and start every game until he is called back up. I wasn’t saying he was no good. So you should read into a post before reacting Dude. Price needs to play or he will seize up.

Oh and the whole team cost a birth lastyear, not just Huet. He didn’t play for a month. wasn’t his decision to play. That was Carbo’s choice.

      Sorry Dude.

Bob has a plan. He wants to trade Huet for a goal scorer. He needs to see what Price can do………….

yeah, trade your number one goalie right before the playoffs…that would be nice. Way to mess up chemistry.

Nah, keep him, resign him for a one year contract to let Price mature. then Trade him or let him go on his way. Or if Price flops, pull a sign him for 15 years like the Islanders would.

Hold on everyone…don’t get too excited yet. I’m a huge Habs fan, have been for many years…but they always do this. BIG start, followed with a fizzle. I pray to God that it’s not the case this year, and they are the real thing, but lets wait and see huh? I gotta tell ya, one thing I’m very discouraged about is, once again, our Habs holding their own with the big gun teams and then losing to the bottom teams. The same old song and dance as last year and the year before…beat Pitts, great games with Ottawa, splitting season series with Buffalo…but then losing, like they did last Tues night to Atlanta…the team everyone else is beating up on. Come on guys, #1 powerplay vs. #29 penalty kill, get 6 powerplays, including two 5 on 3’s, and can’t beat these guys? Winning games against less superior teams is what put teams like Ottawa and Buffalo at the top of the standings at years end. But this is where our Habs have trouble, just like last year. Ya gotta take these “gimme” games and keep the 2 pts racking up to be at the top. Why do we have so much trouble with these teams? Giving them a break? Only playing as good as the opponent? Come on, fill the net against these poor penalty-kill, high GGA teams. The top teams do this regularly, and if we wanna be there once again, we gotta start banking these 2pts when we get the chance. Gets discouraging when we beat Pitts and Carolina rather handily…then to entend to a 5 game winning streak we got the Thrashers (who arent playing up to their standards this year so far), and then lose….gotta beat these teams while they’re down…its whats gonna separate the top 5 or 6 teams in the Conference come playoff time. Consistency is all we’re missing right now to have a great year and a good playoff run. GO HABS GO !!!!
