Ok now the pressure has eased a little bit. I think they’ll beat Buffalo, and maybe the Bruins. They wil also beat down the sens at the Bell Centre Monday.

I watched last nights game on RDS and I will tell you,Montreal did not deseve a point in this game. They have to start paying a price in front of the net.Toronto is a poor big team that seems to be able to crash our net at will. I just think Gainey should get a big man to show other teams that they are not going to jab away at our goalie without paying the piper. Montreal cannot succeed in the playoffs by playing a perimeter game. The playoffs are won in the trenches ala Ottawa - Anaheim. But on a positive note 2 points is 2 points no matter how you get them.

I couldn’r agree more; for most of the game the Leafs out-muscled the Habs, however, the Habs do have Price who certainly looked like the real deal. People will state that you only won because of your goaltender, however, no one ever says you won only because you have Crosby on your team. The goaltender is part of the team and they can and do win games on their own on occasion. What to do with Ryder? He seems to be dragging down the rest of the line. The Habs need the line to start clicking.

not a bad trade except that Mikko is the leading scorer for the Wild. I yhink Gainey would have to throw in more.

I’m proud of Komisarek. What a great game he played…what a great game he continues to play. As much as people are enjoying bashing McCabe for his pass, I’d rather praise Komisarek for reading the play perfectly and capitalizing in such a key moment in the game.

anyone think we have a chance to land Hossa? I think he would be a great addition. If we trade Ryder and include Halak + a draft pick, maybe for Hossa. He’s what we need, and Atlanta gets a good goalie, and a potential 30 goal scorer. We can’t wait until trade deadline to unload Ryder and Huet, or else we’ll be lettting them walk at the end of the season, for nothing!
It certainly would be nice if Gainey would surprise us all and make a blockbuster deal. But I don’t think he has the courage or demeanor required to land us a top notch scorer. It’s just wishful hoping.
