Your silly if you think Ryder is in any new plans…he’s got to be shipped and that means displaying whatever gifts he has…right now that’s not too good.
Besides, the team has to clobber Tampa Bay as they have either Vinny or Richards or St. Louis and the Canadiens could/should be exploring any potential trades with them. Could see Ryder Huet combo for a Lecavalier or St. Louis and a throw-in (maybe backup goalie)…in the near future. Hope so anyways. Go Habs Go!

to trade Vinny for a couple minor leaguers, even if Huet is included that

O’Byrne has got to use his size and weight out there!!!!! He looks lost a lot out there. Ryder still can’t do anything..other then them I think they played pretty well. Not a perfect game (last few min.) but over all they played a pretty good road game..Look out for a collapse in the Florida game tomorrow(HOPE NOT)…GO HABS GO

The Habs will have to give up a lot for that to happen. Habs do not have what TB would be looking to get for Vinny. The only one I could see the Habs get would be Richards. But still is not what the fans want. There probably will be a trade soon but not what we all want and if it is for any of the players that Habs fans are after don’t get mad at what BG. has to give up for him…
(WE PRETTY MUCH ALL HAVE BEEN CALLING FOR A TOP CENTER AND WE WILL HAVE TO GIVE UP A BLUE CHIP OR TWO TO GET IT).

I’d be willing to throw Koivu and Huet to Tampa along with Ryder for Lecavier - that sounds like a realistic offer to me. Tampa needs a number one man in nets and Koivu fills the hole that Vinny would leave better then most. Saku is having a tough time really getting going this year and, while Price still needs some work, he would more then do as our number one.

Ryder is playing well tonight.. Maybe a boost of confidence will do him good..
Reminds me of the clamor to trade the “Slow” Portuguese guys.. Maybe the decision makers are the slow ones.. Yes Ryder has his defensive struggles.. Maybe some real coaching would help.. And a little confidence..

Yeah I agree, but with only a one year contract maybe the writings been on the wall from the beginning of the season. He’s been a streaky player, but the fair trade value on him (considering the contract situation) is a low first round pick. To achieve that we have to play him, get him some stats, he needs pp time.

Two wins in Florida and 7 out of a possible 10 points on the christmas road trip……………………….and Ryder scored a goal! Ladies and Gentlemen hell has indeed frozen over. Although I loved that “I’m so smart” self-satisfied look on Carbo’s face after Koustopolous scored the fourth goal. Kinda funny

Cause Huet is a freakin superstar and would be twice as good if he played ALL the games..his save percentage is nearly tops in the leage..that is the only true stat which tells you how good your goalie is…he is outshot everygame and he rarely if ever lets in more than 2 goals and his % is always 930 or over…he;s another allstar, who is 31..not 40 which means he is in his prime and could be a star for another 5-6 years!..we don;t need Price…we have a reliable back up in halak….Be realistic….in order yo get that superstar power forward we all know we need..we have to be prepared to give up someone huge!…I love price but hes young and unproven in the nhl….but Huet is a superstar//so play his ass all the time,, bring up halak and offer price to get the superstar we always dreamed…of…many of you will call me crazy but it’s time we played for the “now” (next 3 years) instead of the future..i don’;t care how good price will be….we arne’;t gonna win a cup building around him with the clowns we have up front

Tampa isn’t going anywhere without goaltending…they have to be interested. I don’t think it would cost that much. Mind you Patrick Marleau in San Jose is a sleeper…Ryder might be the right bait.
Also, Washington would be looking for some draft picks and goaltending help. The Rangers are coming around…wonder which Habs team will show up.
I also think that Koivu would be better off some where else and shipping him and Ryder might be the right mix to bring in a top forward and draft picks.
Besides got to give the young guns the time and space to play and shine. That’s why we got them. So give them the opportunity. Let’s go….keep it up and press forget the lay back and let them keep coming. Teams like Ottawa, Carolina, Anaheim, NJersey and Detroit will eat them alive. Go Habs Go!
