Ok guyz…this ain’t rocket science…4-3 SJ over MONT in O.T
53.75% SJ
47.25% MT
thats the tale of the tape…so..its gotta be..ive made my 20 dollar bet that it will be a tie…im a business man and i need the money…lol
Grier(x-hab)..gonna take it KOMI..Rivet.has some points to make…Marleau…got a nice place in Lac Pelltier Saskatchewan..,,hes a home boy and im from Sask..had a few beer with the guy…Roenick,Thornton,Cheechoo,Campbell,Ozolnish, c’omon..it aint gonna be no cake walk here..
Good luck and enjoy the game my comrades…ill let you guys hash it out until the end of the game..and remember…if you can not get the game..go to..My P2P.eu and down load the software you need to see all the action!!
habman is correct. I am watching the game right now and rely on that site. he was close, it is actually http://myp2p.eu then click on forum on the top right, from there scroll down to NHL. You will then find a link for streaming channels for each day. Clicking on that, and scrolling down, you will find NHL games. If you scroll down a little more, it will offer all the details on the software you need.
I think they did well considering the officiating. I’m NEVER one to complain about the refs at all. But two elbows, a too many men and at least three golie interferences (one that led to a goal) are a bit too much to overlook seeing as they were all blatant (so was the hit from behind by Boullion, I know). The non calls on the rough stuff with Price obviously got to him. He was horrible tonight. The two last goals, they just walked around the defence. I’d still take the Habs over the Sharks in a 7 game series, though. Price can’t be that bad all the time, right?
Orangeman gets the “WIZARD OF THE NIGHT” award….ive nothing to say(you guyz must be shocked)
I would like to know if anybody thinks there should be a RAP..referee accountability panel?
Also..im asking what we can learn from this…refs aside…what do you guyz think they are talking about in the team review meeting tommorow?
Habs Fans are the worst fans in all of the NHL. Eveything is fine when they win. BUT when they lose, all hell breaks loose. Price could play 20 games all with shut outs stopping 60 shot a game but when he has a bad game, he is not an NHL Goalie, he is **** etc, etc, etc.
Fans such as these need to “GROW UP” & get a life. Bloody wankers.
I swear some of you people are just praying for price to play bad so you can say “gainey should have never traded huet” Huet is gone, he is not part of this team anymore so screw huet. Price is the man now so if you dont like it drive west down the 401 where you belong
Only in Montreal where a player can be God for a few games and a piece **** the next.
BAD GAME? Well sort of……..
- We had 7 power plays (PP) & nothing. I noticed that last night on the PP that they were trying for that cross ice pass which was mostly picked off or missed their sticks altogether. This is not the PP we know. They have to get out of that bad habit. They have to get a player in front of the net and shoot form the Point. Goalie can’t stop what he can’t see right.
- They ran Price but no call. A lot of no-calls. But the Habs would not score on 50 PP’s last night.
- The D- Men were a sleep on three goals.
- My beloved Price had a really tough night. Some soft goals. Hey, he is only 20 yrs old. He will have a few of them once in a while. He has to look at the bad goals today and learn form it. He will bounce back.
- Ryder is in the **** house again. Hardly any time on the PP. I guess he has to score 2 goals a night to impress Carbo.
- What in the Blue Hell is Lats & Smokes doing in the line up. Smoke trips price for ***** sakes. He just a well have shot it in the net himself. That Assclown Lats he should be down in the AHL.
The boys have to pull up their socks and buckle down. This is no time to slack off.
This is a fairly young team. They will learn form this.
Well, I personally just said Price was horrible this game and that the rough play got to him. I’m sure he’ll rebound next game. This loss wasn’t completely his fault, he was left out to dry by his D quite a bit.
For all of u’sss, Huet got injured yesterday, back injury.
On the other side, last nights game, the refs totally sucked and for both teams, not only Montreal. First time I see high stick with blood being called as a 2 minutes, but anyhow.
0 for 7 on the PP, and well-below-average goaltending. Theres no great mystery why we lost…I’m just surprised we still got 4 goals. Price had a really bad game, everyone knows it (including him)….now everyone gotta move on and focus on the next game. We’re not gonna win every game, Price will be bad in some, and the PP won’t be working in some….and thats it.
Might see Halak against Phoenix next game or L.A the next, but we still got Anaheim before we head home, so theres no time to lick any wounds…chalk it up as a bad game and push through.
Btw, after Anaheim, we’re home for Jersey and Ottawa, so it ain’t gettin any easier and theres no time for floating…good time for this team to show once again what its made of. But the game last night was a playoff game for all intended purposes, and IF the PP is gonna be ineffective like that….we’re in trouble.
Move on boys and get the groove back, we’ve been doing it all year…GO HABS GO !!!
Just like orangeman, I try to be neutral when considering the officiating. And looking from the outside at the number of penalties handed out in the game and who got the powerplays, one would think everything is fine. But that was some bad reffing! What kills me the most is, do you think for one minute that if a hab made blatant contact with Nabokov it wouldn’t be called. I shouldn’t say that this just happens to Montreal. It is a disturbing trend in the league where referees let players run into goalies. Even outside the crease a goalie can’t be run into unless he has the puck. It’s still interference. But in todays NHL it seems to be ok to crash the net and try to push the puck and the goalie over the line.
For the most part, Montreal deserved the penalties they received. But San Jose benfitied all night from knowing that most of the time they could get away with infractions that Montreal could not. And you’re right, several that were let go were blatant! Latandresse hooked and then cross checked from behind, too many men on the ice (that could clearly be seen by all officials), hooking of Kovalev, goaltender interference, etc.
Yeah, the Canadiens had a lot of defensive lapses. Yeah, the referee’s favored the Sharks. But you gotta like the speed. The Canadiens have to be one of the fastest teams in the NHL.
Price tired? He’s 20 years old. c’mon! and it wasn’t just 1 or 2 bad goals he let in. It was all of them! Please take a look at the 4th goal he allowed. That tells the whole story. And where was our D all night? You can’t play that way and expect to win, especially against a physical team like SJ.
If habs make it to the playoffs, and play a physical team….. they’re toast!
Kostopoulous and Begin sitting out on a game against the sharks and probably Ducks, That is the only idiocy thing that I find Carbo is sometimes. Begin would of had a blast with Thornton as he did a couple years back againsn’t Boston. I’ll never understand Carbo for this ****.
So..they say its no big deal to worry …ha!,, if we lose three in a row(and everyone else) and Boston wins three in a row…they’ll be in first place.
Like it or not,Crosby’s back, and other teams are going to have to do us favors so we stay in the top three spots in the conference.
We will make the playoffs….so we should be happy about that,HEALTH is the most important issue for our team….and if you dont think so…you don’t know **** about hockey!..and you 2 know who Iam taking about!
Hey Hablifier, you seem like an alright guy….im an experience “kick boxer’, some years ago i was told by my “sifu” instructor that to stay in shape is the best way to win…im 44 years old now, i really have to work now to keep the “beer belly” off…but i know one thing…the bigger you are..the faster you get tired, and eventually they lose most fights if an opponent uses strategy…these bigger teams in the NHL will not win the Stanley cup, nor with the new rules will they get away with all the “clutching” and “grabbing”
Pittsburgh just won their game over Tampa…#1 spot is gone for the rest of the year!
The habs fall to San Jose to start their western road trip. Not a huge suprise that they fell, considering they had won 6 of 8 as well as how well the Sharks have been playing (and the west is harder/tougher hockey).
We did however go toe to toe with them just got out-lasted…personally i think it was a good game for them to get a feel for Western Conference hockey so they can adjust and adapt for the following two games against the Gretzky hungry Coyotes and the got-nothing-to lose Kings.
Price let in more than 3 goals in a game…bound to happen to a team that has so much explosive offense and waiting to unleash. But we answered the call again with 4 of our own, and another premier effort from Pleckanec with two of his own. I have been saying this for a while….Pleck is going to be a star on this team…with flashes of a possible future Captaincy. He has not slowed down since last year, and is maturing at a very acclerated rate. Who needs Ribeiro when we have this top gun?
So who is happy that Ryder is still with us??? I am on the top of the list, and now he can show us all he still has it…which he does. He will be a playoff hero…just wait for it.
Speaking of heros…is Carey Price the next Patrick Roy/Ken Dryden who both led the Habs to Stanley Cups in their rookie campaigns??? Time will tell, but exciting as hell to watch it will be.
Well I guess I was watching another game,I thought the size, speed and talent of the Sharks, plus the scared to open Pandora’s box in a fight scenario and the **** one sided Reffing, not only caused weak goals ,but took the wind out of the sails of the Habs. What makes me laugh is when people say it was jet lag,I believe that was the 3rd game in 4 days for the sharks.Look it’s got to deflate a team when the other team calls your out to dance and you got to look away so you don’t lose more teeth! Bob ,stop being such a putz and bring up our BIG GUY’S FROM THE DOGS!!!!
Carbo has to play Price Thursday. It is only simlpe logic.
Price needs to know that Carbo has faith in him to come back with a great game. If he falters again then Halak is the go to man for a few.
After all, when Mr. Huet Who? (seems so long ago) had a bad game Carbo always gave Huet a chance to redeem himself the next night. It is only right that Price will get the same respect.
I say play Halak because he needs to get some playing time . If he plays well, keep him in. Until Price proves himself, we don’t have a #1 goalie. maybe Halak will prove to be better than Price, and become our #1 goalie, with Price his backup.
I really don’t care, as long as we win! THAT’S THE NAME OF THE GAME!
Play Price tomorrow amd Halak on Saturday. Cause or else, we’ll get the same issues on Sunday agaisn’t the Ducks. 3 games in 4 night and the 3rd game agaisn’t a power house. Or else, play Halak agaisn’t the Cayotes and the Kings and keep Price fresh for the Ducks.
news flash! we have a #1 goalie, Carey Price, let’s not start thinking that if Halak plays good one game that he should then play until he has a bad one, Price is our man, he needs to be treated like it, not thinking he’ll be the back up after one bad game, or even two or three, sure give Halak some games, but let’s not kid ourselves into thinking we’ll get stable goaltending by switching who’s our #1 guy every two weeks, now that’s a recipe for disaster!
I think hab fans get really upset becauase most of us are used to winning, We’ve won 24 cups. Look at gretzky and how mad he is when he looses, It’s because he’s used to being in the spotlight but now he’s coach of the crappy Phoenix Coyotes.
I mostly agree with you, except that lately habs fans are in fact used to losing (over the last 15 years), I’ve been a Habs fan for 20 years and I’ve only seen 1 cup win, and two appearances. Though I really think I could see cup #2 in June!
Phoenix is not a crappy team. look at their record. they could make it into the playoffs. And who annionted Price #1? HE’S DONE NOTHING TO PROVE HIMSELF AS A #1 GOALIE! Let the best goalie play. I say give Halak a chance, because I believe, (along with others) that Halak will prove to be the better of the 2 goalies! Let the 2 compete! wining a calder cup and gold medal doesn’t automatically prove you’re an NHL goalie. the problem for Price, is the same as Latendresse. Before either player played 1 NHL game, everyone said they were superstars. Overhyped! I wish the media would tone down the accolades until proven. It’s obvious that all this pressure is too much for them, and that’s why they have crapped out. In a city like SJ or Anaheim they would bloom, but not here.
Well I guess I would put my two cents worth in here. Price will be the best of the two goalies as time progresses, however, Halak needs work and I still say to this day had he played the last game of the season against Toronto last year we would have been in the playoffs. Price has poise but I think he is having trouble adjusting to the speed of the NHL game, some shoots seem to surprise him with their quick shot. However, I still think that Price needs to play because he has to be prepared for next year. I believe that next year is our cup year.
.Well i was thinking “Grier” …”Brashear”..so(they are big and they are black bad asses!) ..anyway they got stomped..and if you happen to look at my honorable mentions ..Pacum bud..you’d see that every one scored a goal or got a point…and you have not yet to come up with one prediction in any blog that has come true..you don’t know anything about hockey..you find maybe one “buddy” on here you can team up with and point fingers at everyone else….so it doesn’t make you smart..it makes you dumb!..very dumb!
Quick to judge and slow to understand!….lyrics from a real good Rush” song…yes i have tickets and will going to the concert!
The world is full of mistakes..just happen that some live to make it through a nine month cycle and become “blog beaters”
We can start this **** again if you want..but Ive gained the respect of the other bloggers here…Ive helped them get free streaming games on the computer to watch, Ive made sound and true predictions…and Ive actually got “THANK YOU” from some guys here..its cool to be respected and looked up to…oh yeah you wouldn’t know that…
Oh by the way “pacum” buddy…in previous mentions about RAP..Ive thought this one up a LONG TIME AGO!
Go to TSN and look up NHL(if you can)
Go to the review videos of the sports panel and see what they have to say about poor officiating and the games it has cost some teams because of it..
I say I’m pretty “DEAD ON”…there may be a “REFEREE ACCOUNTABILITY PANEL” yet bud!
Ive been watching and talking HABS since 1975…Ive met many dignitaries and coaches and have to VIP lounges and had drinks with some of the finest gentlemen you will ever meet(God bless Roger Nielson!)
Its east to make decisions sitting on our butts..but its a lot tougher and harder on G.M and coaches than we think…I have friends right now coaching in SJHL junior leagues here out west…
Mr PACUM..wheres your experience?
A pointer for the “finger pointers”…the best way to know your team is to watch ALL THE OTHERS!
remember PETER PUCK?..well he says to stay HEALTHY is to go the farthest in the playoffs!
Yes “iceman”..you bet..you think..but you don’t know….do me a favor ok ?”big guy”..you must have a dojo in your city…walk in ask the instructor for a “spar’..then get back to me
next idiot please!,,,that was easy…
Any way..Washington’s got a pretty slack remaining schedule..so there in the playoffs…any bets they go to the final?
Thanks “iceman”..all that talk about fat got me hungry…im going to make a big sandwich with extra “mayo”
Because im 5′11′ 180 pounds and have to go for my run in the morning
Take care of the heart..oh i forgot you don’t have one…lol
Patrick..I am trying to “juice” up the site so i can get some predictions about the upcoming games and other teams…you seem like a smart guy..gimme a pick for tomorrow? Well..Iam gonna say Montreal blows another lead and loses 4 to 3..just to get under your skin…lol
PEACE PAT..we all have our ups and downs…lol
Do you guys in Ottawa-Gatineau have Habs club or friends gathering on game days? I left Montreal, but now realy wanted to join a Habs fan team in Ottawa-Gatineau area.
I am far from fat. Just because I am only 5′11″ & 260 lbs I have to be fat right.
Let me tell you something boy. I have a 64″ chest. 38″ waist. 25″ biceps. My neck is 23″. I have 11% body fat. Now is that fat to you? I bench over 400lbs. I too have done my share martial arts, extreme fighting. I have done it all.
Price is in? Price is out? Price is in? Price is out? PRICE HAS TO BE IN !!!
He’s our guy….and the Montreal Canadiens organization is not gonna ruin this kid (argueably like the Pens did with Fleury). Montreal knows hockey if nothing else, and know how players must mature and be brought through the ranks. Price has to play to be a top notch goalie in this league. Brodeur, Luongo, Nabokov, and even our old buddy Roy all PLAYED…its practice…you get better by practice, which is playing alot of games. I’m not saying Halak should’nt see the ice, I’m saying Price must be given a chance to redeem himself after a bad game….he’s been sitting on that for 3 days now, and for a 20 year old, you just know thats stewing with him…he’s wants back in there to prove his role.
Let Price do what he has to do tonight and give Halak a game in LA. Keep the bad mental images out of his head, give him a chance for a W tonight and let him prepare for Anaheim…cuz he’s gonna be called on again for a big game then. We’re in the final stretch here where 1 goalie must play at least 90% of the games to get ready for playoff action. No going back and forth, no shittin around….if Price is the man…PLAY HIM…let the team rally around him and show faith after a bad performance and let the chips fall where they may. Let’s do it boys……GO HABS GO !!!
Carey Price will be in if he wins. Last game he lost, So Halak will see his first NHL experience since about this time last year….coincidence, hmmm perhaps?
RDS has reported that Carey will be starting. Guy Carbonneau wants to make sure everyone knows that he’s the starter. But They should let himstart saturday.

We will make the playoffs….so we should be happy about that,HEALTH is the most important issue for our team….and if you dont think so…you don’t know **** about hockey!..and you 2 know who Iam taking about!
March 4, 2008 pm31 10:56 pm
March 4, 2008 pm31 11:04 pm
Habman
I bet I can kick your ***.
I’m big. 5′11″, 260 lbs.
I don’t get tired.
March 4, 2008 pm31 11:28 pm

March 5, 2008 pm31 11:09 am
Yup, he definately does… More than we could ever get into around here, it’s pretty sad to be honest, but fun to laugh at, and not with…lol
GO HABS GO
March 5, 2008 pm31 12:04 pm
March 5, 2008 pm31 12:26 pm
March 5, 2008 pm31 12:34 pm
Carbo has to play Price Thursday. It is only simlpe logic.
Price needs to know that Carbo has faith in him to come back with a great game. If he falters again then Halak is the go to man for a few.
After all, when Mr. Huet Who? (seems so long ago) had a bad game Carbo always gave Huet a chance to redeem himself the next night. It is only right that Price will get the same respect.
March 5, 2008 pm31 1:50 pm
I say play Halak because he needs to get some playing time . If he plays well, keep him in. Until Price proves himself, we don’t have a #1 goalie. maybe Halak will prove to be better than Price, and become our #1 goalie, with Price his backup.
I really don’t care, as long as we win! THAT’S THE NAME OF THE GAME!
March 5, 2008 pm31 2:49 pm
why did markov get a game misconduct? What did he do?
March 5, 2008 pm31 3:00 pm
Play Price tomorrow amd Halak on Saturday. Cause or else, we’ll get the same issues on Sunday agaisn’t the Ducks. 3 games in 4 night and the 3rd game agaisn’t a power house. Or else, play Halak agaisn’t the Cayotes and the Kings and keep Price fresh for the Ducks.
March 5, 2008 pm31 3:04 pm
Halak will see his first game against LA… just look at the schedule, and Price had a 3 day break before playing again on Thursday…
Thursday will be a good game, if I can stay awake that late to watch it…
March 5, 2008 pm31 3:23 pm
Apparently it’s Halak on Thursday. It was said on Team990
March 5, 2008 pm31 3:26 pm
news flash! we have a #1 goalie, Carey Price, let’s not start thinking that if Halak plays good one game that he should then play until he has a bad one, Price is our man, he needs to be treated like it, not thinking he’ll be the back up after one bad game, or even two or three, sure give Halak some games, but let’s not kid ourselves into thinking we’ll get stable goaltending by switching who’s our #1 guy every two weeks, now that’s a recipe for disaster!
March 5, 2008 pm31 5:49 pm
I think hab fans get really upset becauase most of us are used to winning, We’ve won 24 cups. Look at gretzky and how mad he is when he looses, It’s because he’s used to being in the spotlight but now he’s coach of the crappy Phoenix Coyotes.
March 5, 2008 pm31 5:50 pm
and I agree wth you patrick, putting Price back up for a game could rattle his confidence.
March 5, 2008 pm31 6:09 pm
I mostly agree with you, except that lately habs fans are in fact used to losing (over the last 15 years), I’ve been a Habs fan for 20 years and I’ve only seen 1 cup win, and two appearances. Though I really think I could see cup #2 in June!
March 5, 2008 pm31 6:23 pm
Price is staring tomorrow!!!
March 5, 2008 pm31 6:24 pm
(STARTING)
March 5, 2008 pm31 6:50 pm
March 5, 2008 pm31 10:05 pm
Well I guess I would put my two cents worth in here. Price will be the best of the two goalies as time progresses, however, Halak needs work and I still say to this day had he played the last game of the season against Toronto last year we would have been in the playoffs. Price has poise but I think he is having trouble adjusting to the speed of the NHL game, some shoots seem to surprise him with their quick shot. However, I still think that Price needs to play because he has to be prepared for next year. I believe that next year is our cup year.
March 5, 2008 pm31 10:13 pm
Who anointed Price #1 ? Well I believe it was Guy Carboneau and Bob Gainey.
March 5, 2008 pm31 10:24 pm
Carbo didn’t, and also didn’t want to play him at the beginning of the season. Did it because Gainey said so.
March 5, 2008 pm31 10:27 pm
.Well i was thinking “Grier” …”Brashear”..so(they are big and they are black bad asses!) ..anyway they got stomped..and if you happen to look at my honorable mentions ..Pacum bud..you’d see that every one scored a goal or got a point…and you have not yet to come up with one prediction in any blog that has come true..you don’t know anything about hockey..you find maybe one “buddy” on here you can team up with and point fingers at everyone else….so it doesn’t make you smart..it makes you dumb!..very dumb!
Quick to judge and slow to understand!….lyrics from a real good Rush” song…yes i have tickets and will going to the concert!
The world is full of mistakes..just happen that some live to make it through a nine month cycle and become “blog beaters”
We can start this **** again if you want..but Ive gained the respect of the other bloggers here…Ive helped them get free streaming games on the computer to watch, Ive made sound and true predictions…and Ive actually got “THANK YOU” from some guys here..its cool to be respected and looked up to…oh yeah you wouldn’t know that…
March 5, 2008 pm31 10:31 pm
Oh by the way “pacum” buddy…in previous mentions about RAP..Ive thought this one up a LONG TIME AGO!
Go to TSN and look up NHL(if you can)
Go to the review videos of the sports panel and see what they have to say about poor officiating and the games it has cost some teams because of it..
I say I’m pretty “DEAD ON”…there may be a “REFEREE ACCOUNTABILITY PANEL” yet bud!
March 5, 2008 pm31 10:32 pm
PEACE to all my friends here….
March 5, 2008 pm31 10:40 pm
Ive been watching and talking HABS since 1975…Ive met many dignitaries and coaches and have to VIP lounges and had drinks with some of the finest gentlemen you will ever meet(God bless Roger Nielson!)
Its east to make decisions sitting on our butts..but its a lot tougher and harder on G.M and coaches than we think…I have friends right now coaching in SJHL junior leagues here out west…
Mr PACUM..wheres your experience?
March 5, 2008 pm31 10:43 pm
A pointer for the “finger pointers”…the best way to know your team is to watch ALL THE OTHERS!
remember PETER PUCK?..well he says to stay HEALTHY is to go the farthest in the playoffs!
March 5, 2008 pm31 11:19 pm
okay okay you’re amazing
March 6, 2008 pm31 2:37 am
Yes “iceman”..you bet..you think..but you don’t know….do me a favor ok ?”big guy”..you must have a dojo in your city…walk in ask the instructor for a “spar’..then get back to me
next idiot please!,,,that was easy…
Any way..Washington’s got a pretty slack remaining schedule..so there in the playoffs…any bets they go to the final?
Thanks “iceman”..all that talk about fat got me hungry…im going to make a big sandwich with extra “mayo”
Because im 5′11′ 180 pounds and have to go for my run in the morning

Habman:
So, you are calling me FAT.
March 6, 2008 pm31 11:23 am
Iceman and Habman get over yourselves. This site is about the Habs not about your egos. Lets just stick to the Habs ok.
March 6, 2008 pm31 12:11 pm
March 6, 2008 pm31 12:12 pm
Your right.
I’m sorry.
Sorry Habman can’t compare to “The total Package”.
OK. I will stick to Hockey.
March 6, 2008 pm31 12:29 pm
You all know this blog site gone bonkers eh,lol….from one crazed fan to another.GO-HABS-GO…
March 6, 2008 pm31 12:40 pm
Right GO LEAFS GO…….
Hang on a minute? ****!
I mean GO HABS GO. Yeah that’s right. GO HABS GO.
March 6, 2008 pm31 12:44 pm
why did markov get a game misconduct? What did he do?
March 6, 2008 pm31 12:49 pm
he probably shot off about the offiiciating.
March 6, 2008 pm31 1:26 pm
Carey Price will be in if he wins. Last game he lost, So Halak will see his first NHL experience since about this time last year….coincidence, hmmm perhaps?
March 6, 2008 pm31 2:14 pm
Chris, no coincidence whatsoever since he ain’t in nets, it’s price for tonight.
March 6, 2008 pm31 3:27 pm
we will see when the puck drops who will actually be in net wont we. I can guarantee you, it will be Halak.
March 6, 2008 pm31 4:04 pm
RDS has reported that Carey will be starting. Guy Carbonneau wants to make sure everyone knows that he’s the starter. But They should let himstart saturday.
