Habs / Flyers: Game 3
-
Is game 3 the game the Canadiens finally show up?
The game where Carey Price returns to form?
Where the Habs perhaps not fall behind 2-0 on weak goals for the third time?
Will there be fallout from the ‘taunting’, ’sucker punch’ and John Stevens perpetual whining?
The Canadiens will be trailing in a series for the first time if they don’t come up with a road win tonight.
All the ingredients for this series to finally heat up are there.

TK06 has been inspiring the team with his “warrior” image.
He scores; he fights; he parles francais with local media… He’s become a star in Montreal and Habsnation.
Go Price Go!
Go Ks Go!! (AK27, AK46, SK11, SK74, TK06, MK08)

April 28th, 2008 at 7:37 pm
Why do we keep shooting glove side on Biron ??
April 28th, 2008 at 7:49 pm
No class team and fan in Philly
April 28th, 2008 at 7:54 pm
I think hab players took sleeping pills before the game. Oh, I forgot. THEY ALWAYS LOOK THIS WAY TO START EVERY SINGLE GAME! The only game habs started strong, was the 1st game of the playoffs. that now makes 91 games they have started flat! And if a player running into your goalie doesn’t get you going, I GIVE UP! I’m totally frustrated with this team. Absolutely no emotion!
April 28th, 2008 at 7:54 pm
Two posts, a cross bar & a missed open net. Can you say CURSED.
Montreal has hit enough posts and open nets to have 10 goals every game so far in this series.
I’m so pissed.
Montreal needs to K!ll these F_ckers………..
April 28th, 2008 at 8:03 pm
whats the score!?! im working!
April 28th, 2008 at 8:18 pm

April 28th, 2008 at 8:18 pm
this series is over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
April 28th, 2008 at 8:23 pm
Why not put Ryder in the lineup? How could it hurt us?
April 28th, 2008 at 8:24 pm
Look to see Ryder playing for Boston next year
April 28th, 2008 at 8:28 pm
No its not dont be so silly, one goal is not a series , The Habs are playing good enough to win , we just need to keep at it, at one point the flood gates will open ….
April 28th, 2008 at 8:35 pm
Price belongs in the NHL! PUT IN HALAK PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
April 28th, 2008 at 8:35 pm
You got to be kidding me ,F@CKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

I mean he belongs in the AHL! HALAK HALAK!
April 28th, 2008 at 8:39 pm
I can’t F_cking believe my eyes.
April 28th, 2008 at 8:39 pm
Carbo is without a doubt the worst coach in the NHL! Can’t he see Price can’t stop a puck??? Moron, put in Halak or you’ll in 5 games!
April 28th, 2008 at 8:40 pm
He’s done. Too much pressure for a 20 year old. Shame on us for assuming that he’s superhuman. He’s great, but he’s no Patrick Roy (who was older) or Ken Dryden (older too.).
Mentally exhausted, rattled, and not the series for him to get his stride back. I’d go with Halak as far as he can take the team, and give Price a break.
April 28th, 2008 at 8:41 pm

3-0 is the score!!!!
Pack it in Habs fans!!
Hugs and Kisses from Philly!
April 28th, 2008 at 8:47 pm
I’m pissed too. I remember 86 and 93, when the Habs where the expectations were low and the goalie carried them to the cup. This is completely the opposite.
April 28th, 2008 at 8:47 pm
na na na na, na na na na, HEY HEY HEY GOOD BYE!
O *** O *** O *** O ***! O *** O ***!!! LOL..
I wish Boston won last round at least it would have been a better series!
THE PRICE IS WRONG *****!
LOL…
April 28th, 2008 at 8:49 pm
Flyers-cup fan,
The habs may loose this came, but will win the series. Regardless you still live in Philly what a dump!
April 28th, 2008 at 8:49 pm
On the third Flyer goal, Plekanec is playing left defense while Markov is near the boards on the right (WTF is he doing there?). Komisarek (? our best defenseman) loses the puck to a Flyer who throws it in front of the net and BINGO,another open Flyer scores as two Habs are looking for marbles on their knees. Anybody check to see what’s in the Gatoraid bottles the Habs are sucking on? Could they be spiked?
April 28th, 2008 at 8:50 pm
Boy how you F_CKS turn on Price. Two goals were screened.
You F_cking ********….
F_ck you all to Hell………
April 28th, 2008 at 8:52 pm
I love Price, but he needs a break. He does not look good out there. If Halak doesn’t start the 3rd, I’ll be pissed. A couple strong saves could spark the forwards, and I’m sorry, I just don’t see Price doing that tonight.
I say Halak for the 3rd, and for game 4. And believe me, it pains me to suggest pulling Price. But, at this point, I think it’s necessary.
April 28th, 2008 at 8:54 pm
Habs Blog - Yea, a funeral for the Habs! Your grave is 3 goals deep and counting.
April 28th, 2008 at 8:54 pm
Any city (Philly) That had a Jail and a Judge (on it premisis) veterans stadium tells you the kind of folks that live there.
April 28th, 2008 at 8:55 pm
Typical HABS FANS! Bailing on your goalie! LOL…
PRICE—OVERRATED! LOL… Just kidding…he is a good goalie, too young to carry the load right now…
Please stop comparing him to ROY and DRYDEN!
April 28th, 2008 at 8:56 pm
Price has ADD(attention deficit disorder). It’s a disease, that has spread to the whole team!
I have said it before and I’ll say it again. Price doesn’t have the intensity or mental toughness to make it in the NHL! I think he’s way too cocky and relaxed. Has no concept of what it’s all about. Gainey better draft a goalie.
And the hab’s record is perfect. 91 sleepwalking starts in 1 season! way to go deadbeats!
April 28th, 2008 at 8:58 pm
Seriously Flyer Fans you know the inevitable, the Flyers will loose, it’s the Philly way.
April 28th, 2008 at 8:59 pm
Every team changes goalies in playoff when No.1 is not on the right tempo, NOT Habs?
Sometimes I really don’t get Carbonneau. Halak should be right now until it’s not too late.
April 28th, 2008 at 9:00 pm
PANIC TIME…LOL…
April 28th, 2008 at 9:01 pm
WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH………………………..
GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
April 28th, 2008 at 9:01 pm
Just to clarify, I’m not bailing on Price. He just seems shell-shocked. I’m not blaming him for the position the Habs are in. I just want to see some kind of change. Let’s not forget, Halak is our goalie too. And he’s a solid ‘tender too.
April 28th, 2008 at 9:02 pm
HAbs will bounce back.. remeber games 5, and 6 last series seems like a repeat… and there is still a chance once goal could spark a sh*t load and look halaks in nets we can win
April 28th, 2008 at 9:02 pm
You got your wish you F_cks. Hope the Flyer score 20.
April 28th, 2008 at 9:02 pm
Give Halak some playing time, and then Halak will be good for game #4. But it’s beyond the goalie. The team isn’t sharp. they look totally dead. And they haven’t look good in the entire playoffs. This team is a regular season team. They don’t have the right kind of players to grind it out in the playoffs. I see major changes coming in the offseason.
April 28th, 2008 at 9:04 pm
SK11 and AK27 in one line is somehow “leadership” zero-sum. This can be considered in special cases, but maybe not in every game.
If they are in two lines, at least there are TWO strong lines. You know what I am saying?
April 28th, 2008 at 9:05 pm
Flyersfan, I like the Habs tatto your mother has on the small of her back. looks good.
April 28th, 2008 at 9:06 pm
Come on frog… We may have a Judge and Jail cell but we also have a room deicated for the visting team. It’s fully equiped with tissues and lube!
April 28th, 2008 at 9:07 pm
Come on Flyers Cup. You know Philly is the worst sports town in the USA! What a bunck of lOSER TEAMS!
April 28th, 2008 at 9:09 pm
whats wrong witth your team did somethig happen to UMBERGER…. fkn ***** deserves what he got
April 28th, 2008 at 9:09 pm
Nobody can blame Price for this game…….where’s the rest of the team……they are sleeping out there!!! This is not Price’s fault….
Price can handle the pressure……the rest of the team just needs to show up and play the way they played during the regular season!
April 28th, 2008 at 9:11 pm

Keep AK27 and SK11 in ONE lineup is the SAME as Carbo’s lucky tie. He only put one his tie once, how come keep AK27 &SK11 togother forever???
AK27 and SK11 should be split (no bias at all, just tried to think objectively):
AK27 - AK46 - SK74;
SK11 - CH21 - TP14.
OR, go back to the original lineups:
AK27 - AK46 - TP14;
SK11 - CH21 - SK74.
April 28th, 2008 at 9:20 pm
F U FLYERS HA HA HA
April 28th, 2008 at 9:23 pm
At least we’re showing some character in this period. We’ve taken good advantage of that power play so lets hope the floodgates have opened on Biron now…

Don’t sweat it, guys. We’ll just go out and win the next 3.
WE GOT THEM WHERE WE WANT THEM!
GO HABS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
April 28th, 2008 at 9:51 pm
If the Flyers continue playing the crappy style of hockey they are playing, and if the Canadiens can keep goals against to no more than 2 for the rest of the series, then most certainly the Canadiens will win. Clear the path for Price to see and also get some more traffic in front of Biron.
April 28th, 2008 at 9:54 pm
SOG 34: SOG 14
Score- 2:3
1. Goalie factor;
2. Less GOOD shots from Habs;
3. They are lucky
We saw a lot of missed open net tips in the Koivu line: Kovalev is NOT familar enough with Koivu and Higgins.
AK27 - AK46 - SK74;
SK11 - CH21 - TP14.
OR, go back to the original lineups:
AK27 - AK46 - TP14;
SK11 - CH21 - SK74.
April 28th, 2008 at 9:55 pm
I disagree about Price. He hasn’t been good at all.
1. Montreal 4-1: Price saves 17 of 18 shots. .944, excellent
2. Montreal 3-2: Price saves 37/39 shots. .948, excellent.
3. Montreal Loses 2-1: Price saves 29/31 shots. .935, very good.
4. Montreal wins 1-0. Price saves all 27 shots. 100% Brilliant!
5. Montreal loses 5-1. Price saves 19 of 24 shots. .791 Awful.
6. Montreal loses 5-4. Prices saves 31 of 36 shots. .861 Bad.
7. Montreal wins 5-0. Price saves all 25 shots. 1.000 Brilliant!
8. Montreal wins 4-3. Price saves 30/33 shots. .909 Average.
9. Montreal loses 4-2. Price saves 19/23 shots. .826 Very Bad.
10. Montreal loses 3-2. Price saves 9/12 shots. .750 Brutal!
The notion of him having no chance is ridiculous. He’s had 4 very bad games in the 10 games that Montreal has played. You can’t get too far in the playoffs with your Goalie shooting at 60%.
That said, it isn’t his fault. That was a risk the Habs management took when going into the playoffs with a 20 year old. And he’s an absolute wunderkid for a 20 year old. But this is the NHL. And I’m comparing him here to the expectation that elite NHL goalies have bad games, but not 4 bad games in the first 10 playoff games of the year.
April 28th, 2008 at 9:58 pm
Groundworking… aren’t you forgetting that Montreal has to score? I think you’re right that Price looks a bit off… but from what I watched tonight, Montreal could easily have won this game by 2 or 3 goals.
Andrew
April 28th, 2008 at 10:00 pm
Well, I’m glad to see the Canadiens came out to play in the 3rd, but too little too late. You can’t win a game if you only come out to play 1/3 of it.
I’m going to change my mind. I want to see Price back in net for game 4. And I want to see the Habs come out and win it for him!
I sure hope the intensity from the 3rd period spill over into game 4.
April 28th, 2008 at 10:08 pm
The Habsnation just give Carey Price 150% tolerance (including me). People from outside (of Habsnation) have objective views on Price: The Habs goalie has been dancing, days in HIGH, days out LOW.
Being said, (the rookie playoff goalie) Carbonneau should make the TWO goalies sharing the ice time. Carbonneau should TRY Halak when “sensing” Price is dancing LOW. It’s not a easy job, but that’s the life that we have TWO rookie goalies.
April 28th, 2008 at 10:11 pm
I feel bad for the Canadien fans right now. 8 month winters and they have no hockey team.
April 28th, 2008 at 10:12 pm
We need Price back, in form, and confident. Carbo, don’t play head games with a 20 year old in the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs!! he needs to focus, and have the boys on his side.
April 28th, 2008 at 10:16 pm
I find myself agreeing with Don Cherry. Price has been badly screened in a significant number of the goals that have gone past him in this series. He’s not been sharp, but he can’t stop what he can’t see.
Biron, on the other hand, has had a clear view of nearly everything — the exceptions being the the shots that have got past him, when the Habs have got to the goal, and given him some grief.
The other thing is that we’re not competing enough in the Philadelphia zone. We need to get to the net. We can ring shots from the point off the posts all night, but that’s no good - outshooting the flyers won’t win the series. We’re scoring when we compete for the puck in front of the net, and if we do that with some consistency, then we’ll wipe the floor with the flyers.
Crash the net, get some goals, and then we’ll see what Price can do.
April 28th, 2008 at 10:22 pm
Until the Game 4 puck dropping, there will be two ongoing topics: Lineups and Goaltending.
Lineups: who’s in who’s out, but Lats seems doesn’t belong to this team. If only his family name makes him in Habs, come on, it’s playoff. Further, I want to repeat again and again — SPLIT AK27 and Koivu. the TWO MEN should carry TWO lines, not zero-sum in ONE line.
Goaltending: Yes, we should give the No. 1 confidence and chance, but who knows in Game 4 he will be dancing HIGH or LOW???
April 28th, 2008 at 10:28 pm
rhabs4real
You are a MotherF_cker.
If you were to say that **** about Price in front of me I would rip of your head and **** down your neck!
April 28th, 2008 at 10:55 pm
Montreal will win the next two games, then game 7 back in Montreal.
April 28th, 2008 at 11:08 pm
guys, I know ur panicing but don’t worry. Philedelphia is the worst nhl team there is. They have luck though, and better goaltending but now Halak is here and philly is done.
April 28th, 2008 at 11:08 pm
Hey Habs, how does it feel to get every possible call in all 3 games n still be down 2-1? ( should be 3-0, gotta b an a$$hole to say that wasn’t a high stick, n an A$$hole to say that was a trip). I’ve never seen anything like it, the NHL should be ashamed, n every Flyers fan should be proud of the way there team is battling through this adversity. Shoulda been flyers in 4, ill go flyers in 5, theres no way the canadiens can get every call next game too, n that aint good for the Habs.
April 28th, 2008 at 11:09 pm
lOOK WE GOT TWO OF THE best young Goalies in the league,Price needs to get his mojo back and Halac will do fine.It will also make the D play better ,so as long as we beat those thugs up who cares !We were dominant Fans ,had em by the nuts and THEY KNOW IT.AND DID ANYONE CATCH COACH STEVENS,WHAT AN *******!!!!!
April 28th, 2008 at 11:09 pm
game 4 prediction 5-1 montreal, just watch.
April 28th, 2008 at 11:15 pm
post #90 phillyfansarefags, get help and move outa your Moma’s house ,get a life and ask your mother for a saw buck to get a hooker,so you know what your missing, lol
April 28th, 2008 at 11:17 pm
N u Habs better keep your heads on swivles next game. Hatcher’s gonna lay somebody out, n im gonna love it. Too bad there’s no fighting in playoffs or else Cote would be in the lineup, n there would be Canadiens coming home with broken jaws left n right.
April 28th, 2008 at 11:21 pm
I hope Halak plays next game, otherwise we’re in trouble.
April 28th, 2008 at 11:26 pm
Hookers, arn’t they legal in scummy Montreal. N thugs, thats how we play hockey in the states. I know in canada hockey players r scared to get hit,( i was actually in a hockey tournament last month with two candien teams, n they cried the whole game we were too rough, n please stop hitting us cuz were little momas boys, n that is no lie u should have heard these whimps) but thats hockey checking is legal, canadiens have speed, flyers have to counter that by laying people out. We can’t help it canadiens r scared to touch the puck. U dont like it, play soccer.
