  • Game 3: Habs/Flames

On Thursday night the Canadiens will play the first game of the season at the Bell Centre. Unfortunately they will do so without the services of: Markov, Campoli, Cammalleri, Spacek, and White. Luckily, Lars (Larry) Eller will make his first appearance of the year along with Aaron Pulashaj. Don’t expect the world from Eller, but given how bad his preseason went, Pulashaj is lucky to have this opportunity.

I’m on vacation in Mexico so I’m not sure whether I’ll catch the game, but I wanted to leave a spot for people to talk about the Habs vs Flames matchup. Calgary is a team I still hate because of ’89… Let’s hope for big things!

  • Game 1: Habs vs Leafs

Your long winter of discontent is over.

The Glorious summer will be put to rest in the town once known as York.

Ok ok. Maybe trying to use Shakespeare’s Richard III is a little much on a hockey blog.  What can I say? I’m feeling a sense of gravity. Tonight feels important.

Can you even believe that our long wait for meaningful games is over? What better way to get the party started than to do so in Toronto – against a team who at least for the night –  is tied with us for first place in the standings.

The silly season is over. The time to debate about rankings and predictions is done. Tomorrow morning there will be a team in first and a team in last, and the chase will be on.

As if you need to ask: Carey Price gets the start.

    Go Habs Go!!!!
