Jan Bulis Signs 1 year Deal
The Canadiens filled another hole in their roster this week signing Jan Bulis to a one year deal.Bulis spent last year playing in the Czech Republic, scoring 49pts in 45 games and accumulating 113 PIMs.
It seems Bulis has always been one step away from breaking out, at times displaying offensive production then shifting from the top line back to the 2nd or 3rd. He has size and skill, enough that he should be a consistent 2nd line performer for the Canadiens this year. Playing with Richard Zednik, Radek Bonk or perhaps Kovalev or Koivu, it shouldn’t be a problem for this guy to reach 20 goals.

Ribeiro/Komisarek Re-Sign with HabsBy Habs Blog on August 11, 2005 | 2 Comments
The Montreal Candiens have agreed to terms with Mike Ribeiro on a one-year contract for 1.178 Million.
Ribeiro put up an impressive 65 points two seasons ago and has exhibited undeniable skill and talent on the ice.
However he has also had questionable behavior on the ice, taking dives and acting like a cry baby. He was the most hated player on the Canadiens during their last playoff series against Boston.
There’s also the questions about his skating ability and size. A more mature Ribeiro coupled with the new ‘enforced’ NHL rules might be all it takes for him to put up some career numbers.
Mike Komisarek has also signed a one year deal. He will no doubt be challenging for a permanent job on the blue line this year. Komisarek is a big punishing defenseman that The Habs have desperately lacked. If he gets a regular shift, it may be his chance for a breakout year.

- Senet1 : I am not so sure that any of our players should be at the allstar game, but if I were to have any it would be Price and Komy. The ALL Star selection last year did not help Markov one bit and he played some of his worst hockey after the break, especially in the playoffs. To me Price has played well and is one reason we are fourth ing the standings. Komy has improved out defence since returning and id obviously valuable to our team. The rest of the guys need to get the extra rest and get health
- habs#1fan : Everyone (non Habs fans) needs to quit bitching and whining and deal with it, or do away with the voting process altogether. Let the League itself decide. Oh yeah then we would have an all star team full of Laffs. GO HABS GO!!!!!!!

- habs#1fan : So friggin sick of the bitchin and whinin everyone is doing about the all star selections. Price and Markov are there and justifiably so. Komi is one of the leagues best hitter and shot blocker as we all know. Kovy is the only questionable one, Ovechkin should have probably got it.

- PACTUM SERVA : Tampa came out with a game plan.....Hit and hit hard....hit anything that moves. When teams do that to the habs they run and hide under a rock.

- Senet1 : Personally, guys would not be so upset about us having trouble beating TB. Every team has their one or two teams that they have problems with, and it does not matter if they are a high or low place team. That team just gives them fits. The more important test was been to date is the Philly game and the Detroit game as well as the Pittsburgh game. We came to play in those games and won them. Tampa will give us trouble until Laclavier and St. Louis no longer play for that team. Really I expe

- Senet1 : Merry Christmas Habs fans, it has been great chatting with all of you over the year, here is hoping we turn the corner and improve our play in the second half, or maybe we should just peak at playoff time. Anyway, looks like we are going to have to beat the bruins again this year to move on.

- habs#1fan : A early xmas gift 8-2 Laffs embarrased. I said it before, me personally the next best thing to a Hab victory is a Laff loss. Thanks Santa. All things considered we are in OK shape. Not making excuses and all those other typical cliches but injuries have been a big factor. Along with average play by a great deal of the team. GO HABS GO
