Back to work.

The Habs lace em up tonight in Tronna in what should be a great return to action after the All-Star break.
The Canadiens were desperate heading into the two final games before the break after having their worst slump of the year. They pulled off two huge wins against strong teams in Atlanta and Buffalo and most of that slump is forgotten.
Which team will show up tonight? The same team that beats Division leaders or the team that struggled so badly in January?
The Christmas break preceded the Canadiens slump, hopefully the All-Star break won’t breed similar results.
The Leafs always raise their game when playing the Canadiens and tonight should be another interesting matchup.

- goalie : I can't type.... what a faux pas on my behalf...
- goalie : I just realized what I said adn didn't say yesterday. What a fayx as on my behalf. Regarding coaching Randy Cunnyworth MUSDT stay as an assistant- he deserves at least that after the tremendous job he did in the latter part of this past season. I'd still mlike to have Robinson, Carbo adn Allard on the staff also.
- Avatar37 : I agree Senet, my choice if we can't have Cunneyworth would be Crawford, Robinson on defense, Cunneyworth for offense, and Carbo as offense/faceoffs .
- Senet1 : I think if I had my choice it would be Crawford and see if he could get Carbo and Robinson as assistants. That would be my idea coaching team.
- goalie : I witnesed Marc Crawford MANY times when the Avs, etc. played against Oilers and let me tell you - he is constantly on the referees asses virtually game after game. He is the complete OPPOSITE of J. Martin. Crawford is calm on TSN but he is one excited coach behind the bench. A friend of mine who was an NHL linesman for 26 years said they dreaded Crawford he was so tough on the officials!
- goalie : You know, I've bee thinking about the coaching situation. I'd be really excited if the Habs had Hartley as head coach and Carbo adn Robinson as his assistants. I also read it somewhere about a month ago that Toronto's goalie coach Allard (?) wants to relocate back to Montreal where he has his goaltending school/business. Add him to the mix and I'd say the Habs would be in great shape coaching wise.
- Avatar37 : Well, from what I recall, Hartley didn't do all that well with the Thrashers. But, I don't know enough about him to judge one way or the other. Crawford I do know, and he always seemed to be a good, level headed coach to me.
- Senet1 : even Pacioretty two years ago did not impress any of us. Younger players have to play and make mistakes and learn from those mistakes. If they sit in the press box they are learning nothing.
- Senet1 : Of course if he have some good assistants like a Larry Robinson to teach the young defence and someone like Carbo to teach faceoffs etc. then your coach does not have to be as good at teaching. If Hartley fits the bill you get no argument from me. My only previous point is that if he is impatient with your younger players to the point that he does not play them, then we are right back where we were with Martin. Martin was a good coach too, but how he handled Emelin, PK and even Pacioretty two
- goalie : I would like to see the Habs sign a coach who realizes that our team isn't tough enough (we need to get bigger and somewhat more nastier),the coach needs t be a great TEACHER and be a coach who can get the players to understand and buy into his system. Other than that I couldn't care what lingo he speaks. I wnat to see our team become a ligitimate contender fast!
- HabsLoseAgain : Well we dont know if he is or is not a teaching coach. I woukd just hate to paint Hartley something that he is not. There will always be questions but if Hartley was hired as the habs new bench boss i for one would not be overly upset.
- Senet1 : My thoughts are not that he is or is not a good coach but rather that when he won the cup he had an experience team of superstars on that team. Where as we have a group of young inexperienced players, is he a teaching coach or a tactical coach or both? I am not question whether he is a good coach, but my question therefore is he the coach for us at this point in the deveopment of our team?? Not sure we are all purely speculating at the moment?
- Senet1 : Something happened to my first post. I will try again.
- Senet1 : That is why I said I am not sure he is the coach for us at this time? Right now we are all speculating including yourself, because non of us know for sure?
- HabsLoseAgain : Crawford also won a cup with Patrick Roy so would you say he is a good coach or did he just have great players and one of the best goaltenders of alltime?
- HabsLoseAgain : Senrt so please give me some reasons why you think Hartley is not the coach the habs need right now. What is it that you do not like about him or his coaching style?
- HabsLoseAgain : Well all great coaches had great players playing for them so i guess you you add a a pile of other coaches to that list including Bowan......
- Senet1 : Hartley, was he a good coach or did he just have great players and one of the best altime goaltenders of all time. I am not sure that he is the type of coach that this organization needs right now. Unless of course we sign a ton of free agents.
- Avatar37 : However, my feelings may completely be wrong, Hartley may turn out to be a good fit.
- Avatar37 : I didn't say Hartley was unknown, I said we demoted a good coach in Cunneyworth and now have an unknown quantity because we don't have a coach. I don't have that great a feeling about Hartley, I'd be much more comfortable with Crawford.
- HabsLoseAgain : In my opinion i think he might be a good fit in montreal. Oh and he also likes to have a tough team.
- HabsLoseAgain : Also this year he coached the ZSC Lions to the swiss championship title.
- HabsLoseAgain : lol the so called "unknown" won a cup in 2000-2001 with the colarado avalanch.
- HabsLoseAgain : lol Bob Hartley is not an unknown lol.....sheesh.
- Senet1 : I think he has until the trading deadline to show us that he deserves to be on this team. If he does not get back on track then he could be simply a 2nd round draft pick to whoever we can trade him to.
- Avatar37 : Bourque reminds me of Pouliot, size, skill, and invisible. He needs to get back to playing a physical game and bang people around and maybe he'll start getting some of those garbage goals again. Need to get to the front of the net. I hope he can find his game again.
- Avatar37 : We had a good coach in Randy Cunneyworth. Now we have an unknown, with Bob Hartley rumoured to be the front runner. I'd rather have Cunneyworth.
- goalie : A player like Rene Bourwue has al the physical attributes of what would be a beter than average player. Hwever, he certainly didn't play that well especially after being in Montreal about three weeks. We NEED players like Rene to play hard AND produce points on a REGULAR BASIS in order for us to be competitive.
- Senet1 : MONTREAL – Rene Bourque had a rocky start to his career as a Hab, but he’s planning on using the next four years to make up for it. After arriving in Montreal under less-than-ideal circumstances in January, Bourque spent the following 38 games hoping to find the spark he needed to rekindle his offensive production. Despite flanking Tomas Plekanec on the team’s second line to close out the season, the 30-year-old sniper suddenly found himself firing blanks in his new NHL home.
- Senet1 : I think we have to be patient and not expect too much too soon. Let's get a strong management team in place, make a good choices in the draft get a good coach and then see what we need at the free agent market. I will not be too disapointed if we miss the playoffs again next year if it means a long term team success. We have the opportunity to make some major strides over the next two years at the draft table. Then we fill in the holes.
- goalie : I certainly agree that we need to get some impact forwards who will sign for 5 years, not for a season then walk away. That's not going to help us.
- goalie : I wouldn't trade PK for Ovetchkin no matter what. He is a coach's NIGHTMARE and a poor team player.
- Senet1 : I believe he will as we graducally put better players around him and build this team.
- Senet1 : Goalie I agree with Avatar. PK is the present and future of this teams defence. I would not even take Staal from Pittsburg unless I had him tied up in a long term contract of a Minimum of 5 years. Also once has to consider the salary difference. Pk is on the move up probably 3M plus for his next contract and then eventually 4-5M if he keeps on improving. He has moved his game up two gears since he came into the league 2 years ago. He now has to move to the next level and I believe he will as w
- Avatar37 : pressure playing in Montreal, since he has problems with the expectations in Washington and Montreal isn't any easier. Then again, the media were very easy on Kovalev, so maybe it's a Russian thing? No idea. Anyway, yeah, it would have to be an established star that gives us an immediate drastic upgrade at forward, that's the only way I'd trade PK, because we'd be giving up a potential QB on our blueline for the next decade.

It’s very easy SMILER 2729, to: a) belittle other comments because you don’t agree with them;
2) to insult and denegrate others on this blog;
3) I guess your mother never washed your mouth out with soap, because you need it, with your profanity;
4) for someone who lives in LEAFLAND,who the hell do you think you’re talking to?
5) you’re not God, and not any better than anyone on this blog, so LEAVE YOUR FOUL MOUTH IN THE TOILET, WHERE YOU BELONG!
6) If you plan on leaving any more comments, WATCH THE LANGUAGE!
It’s totally uncalled for! We all are entitled to our opinion, WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT! I won’t stoop to your level with profanity.

you owe everyone on this site an apology, or YOU”RE ON WELCOME HERE ANYMORE!

You know Douggie, they (the americans) pay you to create a winning team. They actually believed that the C in the Habs jersey stands for Champions. But under your serious butt kissing, you know Bob Guy and Saku, all but have basically created an environment where it is okay to be paid millions to just show up and do nothing. I guess if you enjoy your condo in Florida that is all that you care about eh?
The habs have the basics now to win, they have some great players, Saku if we can ever convince him to stop getting those stupid penalties and play like he did during the Olympics….Souray if we move him to offense instead of languishing in defense and constantly knocking over what little strenght we have on the team, that being the goalies, and to get rid of the overpaid Streit, Niinnima, Johnson, retire Rivet, fire Smiler2729 and replace Rivet with him cause we all know little Douggie can’t scratch out a play on the serviettes at MacDonalds to save his own life….and maybe finally get rid of Samsonov so we can pay Souray’s final retiring wages….if we got rid of the millionaires we could afford to keep the millionaires that actually work for their money….
January 28, 2007 at 4:44 pm
To owner of this blog: Please don’t allow SMILER 2729 here anymore. This profanity should not be tolerated and he shows no respect for others.
delete his comments, because he is really upsetting others, and he has a very bad attitude. his language will not be tolerated, and he must go!
January 28, 2007 at 4:44 pm
My apologies to all you ladies who are offended by my profanity.
January 28, 2007 at 4:45 pm
Who’s Douggie?
January 28, 2007 at 4:48 pm
All profanity used within context is just that, within context… look up context in the dictionnary. And P.S. Don’t buy, rent or watch “Slap Shot” on TV, it’s laced with profanity and it too works real well because it is taken in context… This is HOCKEY, NOT FIGURE SKATING, again my apologies to you ladies out there.
January 28, 2007 at 4:53 pm
Listen gentlemen, (myself, Stevejur and others) no more swearing on the board, no matter how frustrated you get, just keep it clean cuz some among us don’t live in the real world… This is post is rated PG for some mild suggestive humour.
January 28, 2007 at 4:56 pm
Gosh darn, gee willickers, we were defeated by those naughty Maple Leafs again! I sure do hope Mr. Gainey fires the coach and himself after trading all those do-no-gooders we call a team! I’m peeved and irked!!!!

@ High 4 habs & Smiler
Smiler… It’s quite obvious (to me anyway) That what you said about backing up the team win-lose-or draw came from the heart and RIGHT ON! your 100% right, sure it’s frustrating, and irritating and yes we deserve better…But in no way shape or form should a true fan (With the exception of those who come on after a game like last night and use this place simply to VENT!)Turn their backs on THEIR team in the way that 97% of the posters above me would indicate!I was thinking it when I was reading these blogs and You said it…I would have had you not!! CONGRATS!!!
High 4 Habs,
You are correct this place is a forum from which everyone’s “voices” and opinions may be “heard” That being said it’s obvious (To me anyway) That you actually agreed with what Smiler said, and that the only thing you could use to “defend” yourself was his PROFANITY! (A very weak and pathetically obvious strategy) If you would be kind enough to step down from your soapbox for a moment and consider this ! In as much as this is a forum for all at their discression to participate and express themselves..Well the manner in which WE express ouselves is also at our discression…YOU CAN’T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS!!! If the posts with profanity offends you…THEN MOVE ON AND READ THE NEXT ONE!
Because in as much as smiler was giving HIS OPINION the profanity was being used as a means of getting accross (TO EXPRESS) his frustration…Not to offend! And Last but not least your points 5 & 6 in your mini rant states ,
5) you’re not God, and not any better than anyone on this blog, so LEAVE YOUR FOUL MOUTH IN THE TOILET, WHERE YOU BELONG!
) If you plan on leaving any more comments, WATCH THE LANGUAGE!
It’s totally uncalled for! We all are entitled to our opinion, WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT! I won’t stoop to your level with profanity.
LEARN THE MEANING OF RESPECT!
you owe everyone on this site an apology, or YOURE ON WELCOME HERE ANYMORE!
(I am going to assume you meant “your NOT welcome here anymore!”)
Well I hate to be the one to point this out to you but it seems to me that your the one with the MESSIAH COMPLEXE!!!
And please don’t be offended as this is only MY OPINION!!! after all you shouldn’t have much to say…I didn’t use any PROFANITY!
GO HABS GO!!!
January 28, 2007 at 5:52 pm
Obviously some of you , never go on other blogs, because if you had, you would know that disrespect, as well as profanity, (especially used toward other bloggers) is not acceptable. In fact other bloggs, make you sign a consent stating that won’t happen, and if it does, you are removen permanently fron that blog. Most blogs want it CLEAN, and that’s the way it should be!
calling someone” a piece of ****” is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!
doing that, is gutless, and shows no class.
Smiler sounds like a guy who sits around drinking a 12 pack, and swearing, and who’se idea of a good time is raping women!
TO OWNER OF THIS BLOG: CAN’T YOU KEEP THIS BLOG CLEAN?
DON’T YOU THINK INNOCENT BLOGGERS WHO ONLY WISH TO EXPRESS THEIR OPINION, RIGHT OR WRONG, SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO DO SO, WITH RESPECT!
Ps. Smiler. I have a college degree, and can use every word in the dictionary, but I won’t because you sound too illiterate to understand the meanings!
January 28, 2007 at 5:52 pm
Here’s some food for thought. I believe the big reason for the rule changes in the N.H.L. were done in order to add a whole bunch of smaller ,but talented players into the league. The reason ?,too many teams and not enough big players to go around,it was a big bussness directive that changed the direction of the league 360% and in doing so make’s the game faster and adds more dimention: good for the fans. My guess is, size still wins out, when playing a team sport THAT STILL ALLOWS HITTING OR CHEAKING in an enclosed area, so in order to have wins”regular season &playoffs” in the new N.H.L. now more than ever ,you need lots of hitting from a big, fast north american team with a couple of euro’s. And don’t take stupid penilties AND KEEP YOUR STICK ON THE ICE , while your wearing out the little FU@KERS and shabang, a stanley cup will be ours once again. My 2 cents Mr GAINEY.
January 28, 2007 at 5:52 pm
Drive 4 25, thanks buddy, you are right on (PS. Don’t swear eh, some on this board are trying to live like Mary Poppins, for gosh sakes)
January 28, 2007 at 6:04 pm
I still think KOIVU is not a leader ON THE ICE!
battling cancer has nothing to do with being a leader on the ice!
The habs stink ! But at least they stick up for their buddies. Bring up all the players from Hamilton, because they will show more emotion and heart, something that’s lacking with the habs!
Watch fellow hab fans, habs aren’t going to make the playoffs. let the rebuilding begin.
If we trade Koivu, maybe we can get Doan,(he’s a real north american player, with guts); he goes to the wall for his teammates!
And he doesn’t make excuses(unlike Koivu), for losses!
January 28, 2007 at 6:20 pm
High 4 Habs… Raping women? Now that’s acceptable? Calling me a rapist? I, too, Mr. Fancy Pants Mary Poppins, have a College Degree as you can see by my perfect spelling, proper grammar and articulate comments (other than a few typos)… NOW I ASK THE MEMBERS OF THIS BOARD WHAT IS MORE OUT OF LINE – myself, in true Hab emotion after another loss to the Leafs and having to read utter dribble from SOME, calling Nancy FancyBoy here “a piece of ****” for having the gall to question the heart of our captain (does anybody remember ’02 and his return from cancer?) -OR- HIM CALLING ME A RAPIST???
You’re a tough guy behind your keyboard… MEOW! Betcha that scared ya.
January 28, 2007 at 6:22 pm
Surfing the other habs blogs makes you think the Habs are in first place and ensured a cup. Honestly, talk about not telling it like it is.
Koivu is the heart of the team right now, but right now he is not playing like his life depends on it. No wonder and getting all those stupid penalties.
Kovalev is only owning up to his part, he won’t play if the rest of the team doesn’t. If all the other millionaires get paid for playing like ****, why should we expect one of our highest paid to play any different?
It all but makes you wonder if Gainey is a winner, or Carbo, or if they are in it just for the money like the show nothing millionaire defense.
January 28, 2007 at 6:26 pm
Smiler does that mean that the habs are beholding to and owe Saku a guaranteed income even if he doesn’t play like he is the highest paid player this side of the border? I don’t think so. Saku needs to put up or lose his big fat paycheck, cancer or not.
January 28, 2007 at 6:30 pm
Can we stop talking about yourselve’s and deal with the important topic…the Hab’s
January 28, 2007 at 6:46 pm
We all want Alexei Kovalev to be that superstar that scores 50 goals and scares the **** (oops, I mean, poo for Mary PoppinsBoy) out of the other team… Can he even be that guy? He’s always performed at his present level UNLESS he had played on a line with another high calibre type (the Penguin years)… So, duh, Bob Gainey’s looking for that type of center but pulling off that kind of deal is difficult and made even more of a highly improbable task given the salary cap restrictions of most teams…
The last time the Habs pulled that kind of deal (for a superstar type A performer) was ’95 when Serge Savard traded for Mark Recchi, a deal that sort of backfired given the fire lit under John LeClair’s *** (oops, again, I mean bum-bum for Anal Retentive Boy Scout Guy) by being paired with a then relevant Eric Lindros in Philly. Recchi performed admirably here and I wished he’d never been traded away seeing as he still can play a high level game.
So who, fair bloggers, who is actually available and can step in here and spark the enigma that is Alexei Kovalev? The only player I can think of is Peter Forsberg but he’s such a china doll that it’d be almost hard to watch as he could pull a Hasek-in-Ottawa type thing and cost his team their entire season… (in hindsight, with Dominator’s play this season, I think Ottawa probably could’ve won it all last year if he hadn’t hurt himself in Turin/Torino)…
Like a football with the game on the line and it’s 4th and inches, I SAY GO FOR IT! Try to make the deal Bob Gainey, at the least it would make things very exciting for Montreal’s players and fans.
January 28, 2007 at 6:50 pm
BERTUZZZZZIII,BERTUZZZZIIII!!!!!!
January 28, 2007 at 6:54 pm
I think we should concentrate on the habs plight. Our problems are insignificant. ok Smiler?
Let’s deal with, how to fix the habs or rebuild their crumbling legacy.
If we had a real star playr, instead of blue collar players, this team could be so exciting. But I think I would settle for a team like NJ, tho boring, because they know how to win, and with a goalie like Brodeur, who needs offence? Carbo, as great a defensive player as he was, is unable to mold this team into his style of play. His emotion has a player will never come to fruition on his team. Too bad, because he’s a nice guy, but with the wrong team. He should be coaching the devils, and Patrick Roy will succeed him as the next coach of the habs.
January 28, 2007 at 6:56 pm
I wouldn’t mind Todd Bertuzzi but back injuries are lifelong battles that are always there (see Wendel Clark who never played the same way after 1990 and Mike Bossy who actually had to retire). But Big Bert’s winger, man, the Habs need a center.
January 28, 2007 at 6:57 pm
Insignificant? You called me a rapist, you little piece of poo.
January 28, 2007 at 7:05 pm
No hooking and holding is way easy on the old back.Berts only 31 and says his back feels ‘REAL GOOD”, OH yeah,if the Habs can make D men forwards ,then I don’t see a problem.
January 28, 2007 at 7:06 pm
As for the Habs’ defence, still not impressed by Andrei Markov, I mean, he’s a top 4 guy but not a number 1 offensive defenceman/pillar. I wonder what Edmonton would’ve wanted for Chris Pronger cuz if I were Kevin Lowe, I’d have traded him but NOT to sunny California like he wanted but somewhere just as cold as Alberta.
Never been wowed by little Frankie Bouillon either, speedy yeah, but that’s it. It pains me to see all these ex-Hab defencemen throughout the league establishing themselves as consistent reliable d-men (Beauchemin, Robidas, even Alain Nasreddine is a regular in Pittsburgh!) I see Ron Hainsey play a lot in Columbus and other than being adequate on the PP, he’s a liability back there consistently.
Carolina has a glut of defence and Ottawa’s looking to trade Joe Corvo so maybe there’s something there or Dan Boyle from TB…
January 28, 2007 at 7:11 pm
This team needs its hunger back, and that’s up to the players and they do seem to need an injection of something like Todd Bertuzzi, Peter Forsberg or just someone to put a zing back in the game… oh yeah and they need to SHOOT THE GOSHDARNED PUCK MORE AND HEAD FOR THAT NET FOR REBOUNDS EN MASSE, not play the perimeter looking for the perfect play… pretty plays are nice and all but they happen once every 3-4 games, I want crash and bang garbage goals a-la-Phil Esposito, Dino Ciccarelli and Mike Bossy, now those guys loved the slot.
January 28, 2007 at 7:19 pm
Bouillon would do much better on a team with really big D, but so would the Habs.
January 28, 2007 at 7:32 pm
This defence isn’t bad, but they seem tentative and scared to get a penalty (which they do anyway)… we didn’t exactly win the ’93 Cup with a stellar defence (Daigneault, Brisebois, Haller, etc… only Eric Desjardins and Matt Schneider stood out) and both Tampa Bay and Carolina won the Cup the last two seasons with non-descript defence corps…
I wonder if Chris Chelios could come back and stabilize these wild things we have now, heck (see Nancy Boy, I said heck NOT hell), Chelly could probably play a couple of more seasons too.
January 28, 2007 at 7:40 pm
How about just clearing the puck out of the habs end, instead of the attempt at fancy passing that all but sees the defense cough up the puck?
Similarly Gainey seems to scout for injured small players, and Montreal gets outmuscled.
January 28, 2007 at 7:41 pm
Everyone who still beleives that in a cap world the Habs can have a roster chalk full of superstars and keep them together for the long haul can go back to the sixties.
Your time is over. Your era is over. The Habs will never be the team that won 5 in a row again. Deal with it, accept it and move on. You’ll be a lot happier.
January 28, 2007 at 7:59 pm
Yes, lets do it Habs#1 way, lets shut down the habs, heck we lost the expos, why do we deserve the habs? Why cheer for the team anyway eh Habs#1? We all make excuses for Gainey and Carbo, but hey, other small market teams have managed to win the cup, this in cities and states where taxes are outrageous and no support for hockey. Heck you’ve seen teams that use up only half of the Habs 200 million budget and won the cup years in a row.
Who says the era is over to those teams? Because they have coaches that want to win. They draft players who care and who give it all they have.
What do we have? We have the likes of Habs#1 saying Gainey is God. Honestly.
January 28, 2007 at 8:18 pm
Bob Gainey’s better than Andre Savard, Rejean Houle and Serge Savard all put together.
January 28, 2007 at 8:22 pm
so who saw the comments of Don Cherry last night?
He said the habs have terrible penalty killing, that’s why the leafs scored on the PP. Did someone forget to tell him that before last night’s game, habs were among the top 4 in killing penalties.
What do you think about Conroy from LA? He could fill our void at center.
With the NHL the way it is now, could be just trade a player for CASH, without getting a player in return? If it’s possible, then let’s give Samsonov to anyone and offer to pay some of his salary.
January 28, 2007 at 8:28 pm
That way we can pay him to score against us!

Does anyone think Samsonov will score at least 15 goals? I doubt it.
Think maybe he’s stubborn about standing in front of the net. He’s not going to stickhandle around a whole team, you know that.
So, are there any star plyers available at this year’s draft? who is this kid Esposito? any stats on him, and what position does he play?
I’m sure Ryder would attract some bidders, but for whom? ideas, guys, anyone?

I’m warming to Craig Conroy returning for the cheap, maybe he gets back to his Calgary form, worth a try eh.
January 28, 2007 at 9:24 pm
Conroy is old now, with nothing left. can’t score anymore. he’s just 1 of those broken down players Joshtm talks about. He really want Kopitar, but they would want alot for him. I doubt he is available. the key is patience, because if we wait until Feb 27th, trade deadline, we can get someone cheap. Teams out of the playoff race will be selling.

chevy, Angelo Esposito is the #1 ranked North American prospect in the draft and will probably go #1 or #2. While I’m sure everyone in Quebec would love to have him on the Habs cause he’s a french canadian boy, the Habs have no realistice shot at drafting him.
He’s in the same situation as Mario Lemieux, Vinny Lecavelier, Alexandre Daigle(thank god Ottawa drafted him instead of trading him to MTL), and Derrick Brassard. He’s going to go way to high for the Habs to draft him.

Gainey: time to think outside the box. Does this team have it to make a good run in the playoffs? It doesn’t look like it anymore. This is the time of year where you’re either a contender or pretender. And, the Habs aren’t cutting it.
Not matter what, the Habs sell out every night. Mgmt owns it to the fans to put the best product on the ice. Time to clean house. I love Koivu but he’s not the leader who will win you a cup. Your other all star shows up less than 1/2 the time. If I were a coach, I’d strangle that ****. Oh, I will use profanity here ‘cuz I’m ******* disgusted with the LACK OF EFFORT. These over-paid athletes should look at the folks selling peanuts for peanuts ($8 bucks an hour) and use that as a motivation to get up the freaking game!
$8 hour verse $100,000 a month (minimum contract).
Trade: Koivu, Kovelez, Abisher(?), no wait, isn’t he French…
Sorry about that, but as a French Canadian, living in NOrthern Ontario (being in the minority), this is a big sore point for me. People who think the Habs need a French Canadian/Québecois have their heads in the sand. Get off it! I watch 110 % nightly and the way the press are in MTL, man I’d stay away from there. Think about, did Mario Lemieux, Cavalier, St-Louis, Brodeur, Luongo, ever ask to be trade to MTL? **** no…
Sorry off topic. Trade the older big names for younger, gritty, talented young blood from either Québec, Ontario, the Prairies, Minnesota, Massachesett(?). North American players. I don’t give a **** if they speak French/English, CHinese, or don’t even talk at all. GET PLAYERS THAT WANT TO WIN EVERY NIGHT!!!
I hope the get their act together.

I agree with the above comments regarding the removal of all profanity from this site.
In the future, instead of “poo” or worse could we simply use the more proper expression “movement of the bowels.”
As well, I find “bum-bum” far too harsh. The anatomically correct word, “******” will suffice.
After all, we would all be pretty embarrased if the Queen was to stop by Habsblog to submit a comment; now, wouldn’t we?
My last point: Joshtm, I think you should go “fornicate” yourself and log on to the Leaf’s site where you belong.

actually, this is my first time on this blog, and guys you really are boring. you repeat the same thing constantly, and all you seem to do is bad mouth each other. Wow, this is unbelievable. Can’t you find something interesting to say? I was just watching sports late night, (habs practice), and all they can say is, we need better communication, like we didn’t know. The trouble is, they have the same lousy players. so, habs, get a life!
