- Margahayuland : hi all... sorry add this «link»
- Senet1 : I want the Bruins to win anyway so that we pick ahead of them in the Draft.
- Senet1 : Muller you got your wish NYR won game 4. So the Bruins will have to play another game at least.
- Senet1 : He may just bring all three of the kids up.
- muller93 : MB is forced to go out and get a big D-man. Missing Emelin for almost half the season is the last thing we needed to hear. Now going out and getting a big D-man is a MUST!!!
- muller93 : Now for the Fu**en Bruins who have no business even being in the second round are going to get a nice rest. Yes the same goons who took out one of best D-man for 6 more months. There is NO Fu**en justice. Just venting--Ok i feel better now.
- muller93 : So pissed to see the Rangers lay down and play like total crap. How did the Rangers beat the Caps? This team is playing with no heart--a must win and can only muster 23 shots...PATHETIC !!!
- muller93 : Senet I did see Galchenyuks goal--Made a great move for the game winner. You can see the kid has so much confidence.
- goalie : If Rangers get swept I wonder if Tortorella will get his walking papers? Or Glen Sather? They have tons of 'talent' but zero wins in this series.
- goalie : It's really too bad we lost to the Sens as we would have played the Rangers and the way NYR are playing we would have beat them too. If only. If only!
- Senet1 : Actually I agree it was a good move for them to play a shorter season and get the experience. He could not have played in the minors this year he would have had to play junior or the NHL. However, he now has a year under him and knows what to expect next year and hopefully take a bigger responsibility on the team. Did you see those two goals in the bronze game? Wow.
- muller93 : Good move by the Habs not having Galchenyuk play in the minors. Now Galchenyuk has 1 year in the NHL and playoff experience this is going to pay off big time come next year.
- Senet1 : Galchenyuk scores to back to back goals in shoot out to help USA win Bronze metal. I did not see the second goal but the first was a beauty.
- Senet1 : So we could pick anywhere from 25th to 23rd depending on who wins these quarter final series.
- Senet1 : First, is the 14 teams in the lottery. Then there are 12 teams that did not make the semi finals in the order of the seasonal finish, Then there are the four teams in the semi final the first two eliminated pick in the order of the regular season points total and the last two based on who wins and who loses the cup. So as it stand now if say Detroit beats Chicago then Detroit moves up to pick after us. Boston or NYR will move up and pick after us. LA or San Jose will move up and pick after us
- Senet1 : Basically, I was wrong about the draft pick situation. There are three groups of drafting teams within the 30 teams.
- Senet1 : seriously ready to challenge for the cup. He will us win games but he will not be the difference between winning the cup and not winning the cup. You pick up players like that once you have the team ready to challenge,.
- Senet1 : I am looking at the players to draft and there are a lot of big 6'3-6'5 forwards available ion the draft this year. If we could draft 3-4 big young players in the 2nd and 3rd round why would you want to give that up for a roster player who may have 2-3 years at best. If we are going to build a winner to have to build it with bigger players and there are a lot of good big players available this year. So you sign Ott and he is with us for the short run, but probably not when we are seriously re
- Senet1 : Boullion is a great mentor for the young D-men
- muller93 : Boullion is one of MBs great additions--Boull ion is a definite Keeper.
- muller93 : Getting rid of Kaberle frees up a lot of cash. Boullion is small but is reliable and doesn't back down from anyone.
- muller93 : Exactly Goalie any thoughts on a punishing D-man?
- goalie : They;re showing determination adn skill vs Ducks and Blackhawks.
- goalie : REd Wings could turn out to be the surprise team of this year's playoffs!
- goalie : WE need to rid our team of Kaberle and Webber. Step two would be to then move Diaz. If we get that big d-man I believe that would push Boullion to # 7 on the chart. We'd then go with Georges, PK,Markov (to continue mentoring Ememlin) Tinordi as our starting six . THEN I'd be excited about our chances. We could then work on getting bigger forwards.
- goalie : I too would gladly give up a 3rd round pick for Ott- the type of player we sadly lack. AND if we could get one more rugged, expeienced defenceman it would help immensely.
- muller93 : Senet what you are saying makes sense but if we can get Ott for a 3rd round I'll take that all day.
- muller93 : MB should be looking at a big D-man first, even though I like our blue line with the addition of Tinordi. We need that insurance just in case one gets injured. Also I'm a firm believer in starting with the goalie first then-defense-for wards-and we already have good goalie. We have all noticed when we have the lead Price is tough to beat.
- Senet1 : So sometimes you have to sacrifice for one year or two to build that team in the draft. then add the finishing touches through FA and trades.
- Senet1 : Muller, Detroit is another good example. They have been in the hunt every year with good well balanced teams yet only one or two cups to show for it. However, they have built a team that has a chance every years for the last 10+ years. That is what I think we have a chance to do this year with a good draft. It reminds me of the habs teams of the mid 80 and 90's we built a team then with sold draft picks and won the cup twice during that time period. So sometimes you have to sacrifice a one
- muller93 : Very true Senet, you do need luck and we haven't had any luck it seems since the habs moved to the Bell Center. We had an incredible run in 2010 with some crazy goal tending from Halak. With Galchenyuk-Tinor di-Gallagher all in 1 year--not too bad, even with an early exit in the playoffs.
- Senet1 : Muller I guess we all have our own ideas, but there has never been too many times that were successful when they traded their draft picks away. We have a chance to build this team so we have a shot at winning the cup over the next 10 years. Even as good as Pittsburgh has been they have only won the cup once since Crosby and Malkin have been with the team. That is because you not only need great players but you need luck to win, but one thing about Pittsburgh they have a chance every year. The
- muller93 : Good point on Torres, he might be a liability. Torres has to tone it down a bit, but that's his game-very aggressive.
- goalie : Though I don't condone what Raffi Torres did - thos shows you how repeat offenders or near offenders are going to be treated. His hit was NOT illegal BUT what the rap sheet adn reputation Torres has he got severly punished. Lesson to be learned by OTHER players because Torres dopesn't learn fromk his mistakes.
- muller93 : Senet normally I would agree with you on not trading draft picks but we are not in a rebuilding stage. Sometimes draft picks can be a roll of the dice and it can take up to 3 years to be NHL ready. We have a good team and I agree with Stuo players like Clowe-Torres-Ott -Scott will make a big difference. Somebody has to protect Gallagher, he can't keep getting hit the way does--we need a tough forward so they think twice before going after Gallagher.

joshtm, i love how you throw random stats at people with out backing it up. like how jamie rivers falls all the time. do you even know who that player is! and bouillon and dandenault werent our biggest liabilities on defense, it was souray u fcking idiot. -28 anyone.
July 5, 2007 at 11:06 pm
I wonder which Montreal sports team will be worse? Alouettes or Canadiens. Both are horrible. Notice I didn’t say PROFESSIONAL team.
July 5, 2007 at 11:19 pm
Excuse me, I didn’t write that Rivers falls all the time fool! Get your facts straight! Honestly, you are so petty! You are a wimp! A Fool! A JERK!!!!!
I said Rivers should make for exciting hockey!
Where were you Habsfanforlife? Excuse me, last season all we saw was the duo of Dandenault and Bouillon get scored on time after time. Dandenault a better defenseman that Souray? Souray at his worst at least kept the net clear, what did Dandenault do? Compete with Markov to see who between the two would injure Huet…..
At least I do my research, like Degon, ranked 213 overall, man that just sucks. And Hamrlik’s total goals? some 900 some odd games and he scores what, the total number of goals Souray did last year….and that is Hamrliks total NHL career, some seven or eight years! That is pathetic! And Smolinski? Supposed to be a forward? Scores every seven games, every ten games at his worst? Honestly….those stats are just horrible! And if you look at their sizes and weights, and ages, man that just sucks. That is washed up used broken down veterans FOOL!!!
July 5, 2007 at 11:41 pm
How come Gainey only signs minor league players? Is it because he thinks the habs look like a minor league team? He would be right. this is a bush league team, and none of them belong in the NHL. Gainey’s problem, is that he’s way too conservative, not willing to take a risk. He needs to be more like Holmgren.
Now there’s a shrewd and gutsy GM! bring him to Montreal. He who hesitates, is lost! Gainey looks like a lost confused GM, bent at making this team worse.
He can’t even make a decent trade! when did he ever make a trade to get us a goal scorer? N E V E R !
July 6, 2007 at 12:09 am
Listen up joshtm…some good points here for ya!!
This person actually knows what they are talking about!! Read and learn jack-***!!
Bob Gainey finally pulled the trigger on Monday by signing UFAs Roman Hamrlik and Bryan Smolinski to contracts. The Canadiens were unable to sign the big name UFAs like Daniel Briere, Scott Gomez or Ryan Smyth but it wasn’t from a lack of effort. Numerous reliable sources (including the players and agents involved in the process) stated that Montreal had made very attractive offers and were in the running right up to the end. Briere was allegedly offered a 6 year/$42 million while Smyth was supposedly offered a 5 year/$32.5 million. Both contract offers were allegedly more money annually than what Philadelphia and Colorado had given them.
As Habs fans, we can all speculate and debate the reasons why these players went elsewhere: higher taxes, constant media pressure, non playoff contender or language issues to name a few. The media have already started the “blame game” and are unfairly criticizing the Montreal Canadiens for not landing these players (especially Daniel Briere). Some media outlets have even questioned why Bob Gainey, Pierre Bovin or George Gillett did not travel to Los Angeles to hand deliver the contract offer and persuade Mr. Briere to sign with the Habs. Can you imagine Gainey leaving his office at the Bell Center and abandoning negotiations for other UFAs to attract one player.
Thank god, Bob Gainey has the courage and for a lack of a better word, BALLS!!! to stand his ground so as not to be persuaded by our wonderful local media “experts”. The Ronald Corey and Rejean Houle era has come and gone when it was common practice for the french media to influence their decision making process (Patrick Roy would have retired as a Hab if cooler heads had prevailed and management had settled things down).
Yes, Gainey did not land the “big fish” UFAs but the additions of Hamrlik, Smolinski and to a lesser degree, Tom Kostopoulos have improved the team. Roman Hamrlik is a better all round defenseman than Sheldon Souray and will provide much better defensive zone/one on one coverage. Hamrlik won’t score 26 goals next season but neither will Souray who had a career season offensively. When you factor in the plus/minus and goals scored stats, then Souray is a-2(26 goals and -28) while Hamrlik is a + 29 (7 goals and +22). A bit simplistic but at the same time rather revealing don’t you think!! Hamrlik will also help tutor young prospects like Ryan O’Bryne or Pavel Valentenko when/if they make the Habs roster. He was credited with helping develop Dion Phaneuf in Calgary so Hamrlik has some successful experience in this area.
Bryan Smolinski will not be as good a shutdown center as Radek Bonk but he will provide more offensive punch. Smolinski is a better face off guy and even at 35 years old, he is still a better skater than Bonk. I think Maxim Lapierre will be the shut down center while Koivu, Smolinski and Plekanec will center the more offensive lines. Tom Kostopoulos will provide more grit and bring a solid effort every game. He is very strong along the boards and is a good skater who will improve the 3rd and/or 4th lines (will replace Mike Johnson).
In the end, there will always be critics who will have something negative to say no matter what is done to improve the team. If Bob Gainey would have signed Daniel Briere or Ryan Smyth, there would have been criticism that the player was paid too much and his salary would cripple the team’s financial ability to add other players to the roster. Let’s take a step back and take a deep breath (especially the media) while Mr. Gainey continues to improve the team with the recent additions as well as giving some of the younger players a chance to shine.
July 6, 2007 at 12:11 am
I keep expecting to see Bob Gainey sign Paul Newman….hey Bob, its not the Chieftans buddy! Its the Habs and you are supposed to sign real hockey players!

Here is some info on the Beauregard kid!!
Wow, this kid could be a steal of a deal!!
Beauregard scored 71 goals in 69 games in the Q last season so he knows where the net is. He is on the small size (5’11″ 185lbs) but has an excellent shot with good wheels. He went undrafted three years ago as he was injured most of his draft eligible year. See below sites for more information and video:

After reading Dave Molinari article, you certainly get the impression Sydney Crosby wants to please his teammates, the Penguins organization, fans and the NHLPA. As a Habs fan, I will be selfish and hope he only signs an extension of 3-4 years at the most (I can still dream of Syd the Kid in a Habs uniform). I’d love to see him become a UFA at the tender age of 25 years old and so would the NHLPA. Crosby has always said that his favorite team growing up was the Montreal Canadiens and he stated while watching the 2005 draft lottery on TV, how anxious he was as the Canadiens got closer to the 1st overall selection (they got the #5 pick which they used to select Carey Price).
The NHLPA will make sure that Crosby’s agent, Pat Brisson signs for the maximum allowable amount and doesn’t give too much of a hometown discount to the Penguins. Mario Lemieux and GM Ray Shero would love to sign Crosby to a 8-10 year deal but with the ever increasing salary cap and spiralling player salaries, it would not make economical sense for Sydney Crosby or the NHLPA to commit to such a contract. The negotiations will be interesting to watch and all habs fans will still be dreaming of the “Syd the Man” donning the bleu, blanc et rouge one day!!!!

What kind of player is Tom Kostopoulos? Think a younger Mike Johnson with a smaller paycheque and a bit of an edge.
“I’m basically a defensive player who can chip in with some offence now and then,” Kostopoulos said yesterday after signing a two-year contract with the Canadiens for $900,000 (U.S.) a season.
The 6-foot, 201-pounder said he is used to playing on the third line against the opposition’s top line. That’s the role the 28-year-old right-winger has played the past two seasons with the Los Angeles Kings. Kostopoulos had seven goals and 15 assists in 76 games last season.
“There were a couple of teams which showed interest in me, but when my agent told me that Montreal was interested, that’s where I wanted to go. I grew up near Toronto and I know all about the rivalry between the Canadians and the Leafs,” Kostopoulos said from his offseason home in Oakville, Ont.
He said he didn’t know any of the current Canadiens, but it shouldn’t take long for them to know him. He admitted that he has a reputation for being a practical joker who “likes to keep things loose in the room.” “I did talk to some guys who used to play there, Mathieu Garon and Jason Ward, and they had nothing but good things to say about Montreal,” Kostopoulos said.
While he’s not the Quebecois some folks have been clamouring for, Kostopoulos said he and his wife are looking forward to trying out their French in Montreal.
“My wife went through French immersion all the way through high school and minored in French in university,” Kostopoulos said.
“I took French immersion through Grade 8. We’ll be brushing up this summer.”
While he’s not a heavyweight, Kostopoulos will drop the gloves.
“I’ll stand up for my teammates,” said Kostopoulos, who was involved in nine fights last season, although http://www.hockeyfights.com reported that he lost most of them.
The addition of Kostopoulos gives the team 18 players under contract with a cap hit of about $39.5 million. GM Bob Gainey still has to negotiate with restricted free-agents Michael Ryder, who earned $2.2 million last season, and Tomas Plekanec and Josh Gorges, who each earned the minimum $450,000.

I heard that Bettman was considering waiving the rules regarding equipment, to allow Sakku Koivu and Roman Hamrlik use their walkers on the ice, and an additional waiver for Sakku to use his seeing eye cane and german shepard…maybe that way instead of hooking players Sakku could actually play hockey!!!
Hey Bob, instead of water bottles, the Habs are gonna be giving out Ensure to half of the team during the game!
I feel sorry for the Habs trainer, he’s gotta get those adult pampers for Sakku and Roman!
I also heard Gary Bettman is considering hiring a researcher so Bryan and Tom there, the other old age pensioners that Bob Gainey hired, hiring a researcher to find out ways in which they can transfer their social security cheques to Canada…..
There was a replay on the old CBC HNIC black and whites, and Sakku, Tom, Bryan and Roman all looked old in those too! I think half of the Habs were born just after they invented electricity!
Man, the NHL is considering making the nets larger just for Sakku’s behalf! That’s cause Sakku’s so old he can’t see for trying.
I also heard Gary Bettman is considering waiving the hockey stick rule for the habs forwards, seems on top of getting larger lighter pucks, they are considering allowing Roman, Tom, Bryan and Sakku to be allowed to use Goalie sticks in the hopes that the bigger blade will allow them to actually pass the puck!
I have never seen such a wide range of players, one side of the bench is the old folks home for retired worn out used up broken down veterans in pampers and the other side are for Tim Bits players who are still in potty training!
Man is that sad or what?
And you know what is even funnier? There are fans out there who think Bob is Hockey God cause he can find a way to still allow old folkies to still play hockey and on the flip side, be a walking talking ad for Tim Bits peewee hockey!!!!HAHAHAAAA!!!!!
July 6, 2007 at 12:35 am
Poor Roman! In the Sportsnet.ca interview he admitted he was so old, that he can’t skate past centre ice anymore and that he has to hobble inside his own end….
Man, at least Gainey is giving Roman the golden parachute like he’s doing for Sakku!
The Habs, where old used worn out veterans come to play, and where the GM and brown nosing fans blame the media and fans for the despicable play of the old veterans!
Honestly! Blaming the media for worn out old used players who are past their prime? Are we all that stupid or what?
July 6, 2007 at 12:49 am
Thanks for the stats on Beauregard Josh, omg another small dude, what gives with that? Even Brian Murray and Brian Burke are shaking there heads at the Habs and there anti stanley cup mentality,at this point me thinks Downie be a better G.M. boys!lol
July 6, 2007 at 8:16 am
man It looks like the team last year. Kostoboulos will get 25-29 points(samsonov) Smolinski will get 40-50 points(johnson,Bonk), now if kostoboulos gets less than 15 and smolinski gets less than 20 pts, were screwed because we cannot have another screw up. It’s up to higgins to get out of the 30 pt area and become who he is- a 60-70 point getter, Ryder get as much as he did his 1st season, Koivu stay the same u did amazing last year, Kovalev(oohhh boy) u have to get at least 65 points to prove ur shelf again, age might be getting at u but get out of ur slump. Latendresse will have a great season around 50 pts, kostitsyn bros. Andre should get at least 25 pts, while sergei should get at least 18 pts.(if they get a chance.)Grabovski(if he gets achance) should get around 20 pts. Chipchura should get at least 15 pts. This year we had lots of $$ to spend( hamrlik,Smolinski,Kostoboulos)-good GM=(Briere,Zubrus,Souray).(loosing team= priceless.

Tke your eklund blog down, that guy knows jack s-h-i-t, he was wrong 100% of the time on trade deadline day, and 99.9% on FA day, he’s a moron who thrives off dumbasses like you. His bloggers are mostly full of **** too, they are paid to reiterate everything eklund says.
July 6, 2007 at 10:47 am
hey josh is there anybody on the team that you like? ur so negative all the time man.
July 6, 2007 at 11:38 am
Some of you guys are so dumb! Joshtm is telling the truth about this team and you guys are calling him a JERK!!! I’m on Josh’s side!!! LOSERS!!!!!
July 6, 2007 at 11:40 am
OK 62 and 63 I don’t agree on.(happy now!)
July 6, 2007 at 11:56 am
I don’t even bother reading josh’s comments anymore. That would be a waste of my time.
July 6, 2007 at 3:17 pm
when can we expect these Joshtm shirts to go on the market?
July 6, 2007 at 3:58 pm
… wonder why Shelly is takeing his sweet time to sign anywhere? Maybe the offers have ceased? Could it be he is that greedy? Personally, I wish we could see him back for the upcoming season… which I know will not be the case.
July 6, 2007 at 6:52 pm
Does anyone here know how, to use proper punctuation! I don’t think so? LOL
Listen guys, I understand that the purpose of this site is to express our opinions about our team, but how about we all stop pulling each other’s hair? Look, Samsanov’s gone and Gainey bought out the contracts of the two guys he got for him. That’s it, that was our biggest problem (aside from Kovalev). What does Gainey have to do to make you guys happy? He’s trying his best.
Why don’t we just discuss the off-season changes without giving up before the season even starts. I was happy when I found this site last season, but quickly grew tired of it with all the bitching and moaning going on. I just recently came back to see what everyone was writing about the changes. Still the same ****…bitching and moaning. It’s embarassing!
July 6, 2007 at 6:58 pm
Shelley’s taking his time cause all the GM’s in the league know that he’s drastically overrated.
July 6, 2007 at 7:00 pm
Want the cure LeBeau, its called the fucken Stanley Cup ,and we all want and need one for our fucken Habs,OK bro.
July 6, 2007 at 7:25 pm
The cure is firing Gainey and Carbo and actually hiring a real GM and a real NHL coach who will in turn draft, sign, trade for real NHL hockey players.
It is pathetic, today Gainey is now drafting 11 and 12 year olds at the end of today, he is going to use the rest of the salary cap to sign the best of today’s Habs day camp for kids to long term contracts in the hopes that one of them won’t grow beyond 6feet 1 or 200 pounds and if possible to be shorter than 6 feet and weigh just above 187 pounds but no more. Man is Gainey picky or what? He only goes after hockey players who are shorter than 6feet one inch and lighter than 200 pounds!
July 6, 2007 at 7:40 pm
HEy JOsh you always say what the problem is but never what the solution is. Okay then say we fire Gainey, who is the replacement? John Muckler? HAHA. NO NO how about serge Savard or maybe even Rejean Houle. I want some solutions buddy. Show your worth. IT is easy to say bad things. Heck I can say many bad things about the Ducks but bottom line is they have the cup. HEck we could have signed Kariya to 6 mill a year ot Guerin to 4.75 but we didnt because it would not help us. The big guys like Smyth and Shanny dont want to play here. WHY? Pretty obvious isant it. THE MEDIA FOOL. I am a die hard habs fan and if I was a NHler I would not go to the habs. Not getting Briere for that price was the BESt thing that has happened tot he habs. I could have devastated us for years. What we did in the offseaseon shoulf excite you. All you talk about is youth. Well we are keeping the youth movement moving and yet still picked up a couple of good players to fill the holes untill then. You should be pumping fists cause this is what you wanted. THIS IS FOR YOU JOSHTM. IF we gfail this yeat its on you.

Lapierre is overated
July 6, 2007 at 7:46 pm
Awww Pepto, take a Bismal won’t yA!!!
There is Larry Robinson fool!
Anyway let’s get back to the arbritration….it’ll be interesting if Ryder doesn’t resolve things, who else is in arbritration?
One more thing….
Looks like Souray’s name is off the roster on the official Habs web site….so it looks like Gainey definitely wants him gone. Too bad he didn’t do that to Bouillon and Dandenault…..
The Habs have oldest rookies…hahahahaa!!! that’s okay I guess, since Gainey has set up the old folkies home at the Habs now….the latest old folgie being Krusty the Clown and Hedican his cheer leader! I guess they must shop at the same Adult Pamper Store….
July 6, 2007 at 8:43 pm
Montreal is the Edmonton of the East. Bottom line, nobody wants to play here.

I really do hope that the Oilers offer Ryder a real whooper of an offer sheet now that they’ve missed out on Vanek. Ryder is the most one dimensional player I’ve seen in years. He can shoot. That’s it. Not a good skater, doesn’t hit, has no heart, is soft, can’t pass and isn’t very smart with the puck.
And next years draft is supposedly as good as 2003 which was the draft that produced most of the good young players in the league today(Horton, Staal, Vanek, Perry, Getzlaf, Suter, Phaneuf, Seabrook, Mihaclek, Bernier, etc.). And even with Ryder the Oilers would suck so the Habs would be getting a possible top 5 pick in an extremely deep draft. So go for it K-Lowe, please make my day!
July 7, 2007 at 1:20 am
Habs#1…….Ryder has been one of the only consistent players on the Habs. He may not be the best at everything but he is their only 30 goal scorer!!
Believe me…on a team where goals are hard to come by…we cannot afford to lose Ryder.
How old are you joshtm??? Seriously….what 10,11 maybe 12 or 13……I can tell by the way you write your blogs and the level of maturity you show when you write them. You are so annoying!!!
ATTENTION ADMINISTRATOR OF THIS SITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I HAVE SEEN MANY BLOGS ON YOUR SITE WHERE PEOPLE HAVE SAID THEY WILL NOT RETURN BECAUSE OF JOSHTM AND HIS CONSISTENT GARBAGE AND GUESS WHAT…THEY HAVEN’T RETURNED…THAT HAS GOT TO HURT YOUR BUSINESS, DOESN’T IT???
I SUGGEST YOU PERMANENTLY BAN JOSHTM FROM THIS SITE. THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A PLACE TO TALK ABOUT THE HABS AND HOCKEY IN GENERAL AND ALL I SEE IS JOSHTM INCITING POOR LANGUAGE, MAKING NONSENSICAL RIDICULOUS COMMENTS AND INCITING THREATS FROM THE OTHER BLOGGERS??? IS THIS WHAT YOU INTENDED YOUR SITE FOR???
IF SO THEN SHAME ON YOU AND YOU CAN CHALK ME UP AS ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE WHO WILL NOT RETURN AND I WILL MAKE SURE AND TELL OTHERS TO STAY CLEAR OF THIS SITE!!
CARE TO RESPOND OPENLY ON YOUR SITE FOR ALL THE OTHER BLOGGERS TO SEE???
July 7, 2007 at 1:27 am
Habs#1,I can’t understand some of you guy’s and your memory issues,Ryder took on THE MAPLE DICKS ALL ON HIS OWN THE LAST GAME OF THE YEAR AND SHOWED ALL KINDS OF HEART!!! Was it two or three goals that he potted that nite???Where was the rest of the Habs ,eh? He’s our only sniper now that Souray history?Do you think the Great White Russian Kovalev IS GONNA SAVE USE????I swear ,the remarks some of you guy’s make, make me think the Blogs headquartered in the head trama wing of some hospital and some of the patients are never too be the same!! Like I said earler,it do or die for Gainey and Carbo and they just made there bed,now they get to lie in it,
;I’ll predict a new G.m. and coACH BY December!!!!

Ah mystery man, I am starting to figure out it is you that is using my blog monaker.First off you paroinoid little pee brain,Josh and I are two different bloggers, secendly we have been the most accurate on this site to what will happen scenarios since I have participated on said site.Thirdly ,you don’t know hockey and your frustration is showing all your character flaws ,which there are many. And four, you should not participate on Blog sites period. You have a problem accepting other peoples opinions ,to the point where you make an *** of yourself,so GO back to your birthplace ,where there are no freedoms and in brief stupid,YGFNMFAH!!!!
July 7, 2007 at 11:01 am
Losing Ryder might help is in the long-run with a draft pick, but it seems the majority of bloggers on here want help right now. Ryder’s been one of my favourite players to watch last season. I really don’t know what game you’ve been watching, Habs#1.
July 7, 2007 at 11:13 am
Just in Souray to play for the leafs, Not good news
July 7, 2007 at 11:40 am
I.ve read so many blogs on the habs in the last couple of days and no one seems to realize that the Habs have one of the best group of upcomming player in the league. Bob has done a great job of keeping and aquiring draft picks. In this day of age where any good player requests insane amounts of money to play anywhere, the only way to win a cupm and to have a deap team is to draft your way up (Look at Anaheim). And another point I thought I would hear is that Lecavalier will be a UFA next season, now I may be dissapointed but I think the Habs will go all out to sign this guy and he is way more of a pillar to any team than DB. You wait and see, Bob has somthing u all don’t Patience and Vision.
Well that was my 2 cents
thanks for listening.
July 7, 2007 at 2:01 pm
XHabsfan, you and josh have been the most accurate in your own opinion, not everyone else’s.
Ryder and Souray are both overrated, deal with it.
July 7, 2007 at 2:58 pm
Joshtm are you even a fan of the habs? I mean you don’t like the team and you don’t like the players, and then you say you’re a die hard fan because you think they suck and want to get rid of everyone for a good team. I say **** that you ******, a die hard fan sticks with the team no matter what. I’m not saying you can’t criticize the GM, but to say all our players are **** and he is dumb is just plain retarded. I would love to see you as our GM, I mean you do seem to think you have more hockey knowledge then Bob Gainey. Hell you should be our coach too seeing how you think you can out coach Carbo. Xhabsfan can be your assistant, god only knows what you two would be doing in the locker room.
First off this team is better then the last couple of years, I mean was I the only one that was horribly embarrassed when Spezza literally walked around Souray and sniped only to celebrate while Souray was picking his jock strap off the ice, or how about Souray’s constant giveaways in his own end. Souray can score a lot of goals with his shot, what do you think they say about Hammer, the guy has a blistering shot and easily anyone can see that he has a better defensive side. I think that makes him perfect for our powerplay because he can shoot and yet still is able to prevent giving up shorties. Smolinksi is a gritty player that knows how to score. He has a veteran ability so can help out rookies like Lapierre who seems to be following in the ways of a gritty in-your-face type of player. Clearly we have amazing young talent, which so far Bob Gainey has kept around and clearly will not give them away for nothing. Josh if you think the Habs are old and ****** why do you still cheer for them. Go **** off and cheer for Pittsburg or something and when they can’t afford all their players anymore you can start bashing them. If our team needs rebuilding, we are already almost there, when you rebuild a team you need two things, rookie talent (we have shitloads of it) and a veteran presence(seems like Josh thinks we have a lot of that) so it looks to me like it’s a pretty damn good time to be a Habs Fan.
Now you’re going to post another reply and you’ll be ranting and annoying as hell with stupid ****’n names and retarted things to say. Hell you probably won’t even talk about hockey, you’ll just rant and hope that sometime soon Xhabsfan will say something like “Joshtm is right and I wanna suck his ****..
Losers.
July 7, 2007 at 3:16 pm
RBK,YOU ARE ONE RUDE NO MINDED WANNABEE,LOL!!! Are you related to JO-JO the FUTUREST,LOL. How do you know how young unprovin talent is going to preform in the big leagues,HUH? Mix in with noname generic old-timers and just add ice,eh and we have a contender? lISTEN,BEFORE YOU THINK ,TRY THINKING WITH YOUR HEAD FIRST AND THEN YOUR HEART……free addvice.
July 7, 2007 at 3:17 pm
no cup this year boys
July 7, 2007 at 4:07 pm
xhabsfan…….aaaahhhhh…this is so fun! First of all….good job with the YGFNMF…..impressive!! Secondly(noticed that I spelled it right?…take notes!), the reason I say that you are one in the same as joshtm is because you were always at odds with joshtm until recently? Now you are his shadow??? WTF?? Are you guys an item?? Hmmmm….well are ya pretty boy!!
Third, it is not me that is using your moniker(TRUTHFULLY)…I may change mine from time to time, but I would not steal someone else’s…..sorry to let you down there small fry!! By the way, it is my understanding that you are a 105lb. weakling who once broke his arm lifting an empty tea cup??? Is this true skinny-boy!!! At least that is what joshtm tells me???LOL……..YGFNMFAHCSDW!!
Seriously though, the habs will be fine…they will shock a lot of people this year. They have a good solid mix of veterans and youth and Huet will rebound from a poor season last year to push for Vezina consideration.
I have faith in the Habs and besides, better to be a HAB fan than a Leaf fan!! Agree??????
July 7, 2007 at 4:09 pm
a heart doesn’t think “xhabsfan”
July 7, 2007 at 4:29 pm
How the hell am I a “wannabee”?
But seriously,…young unproven talent?… Isn’t that what every rookie is. Did anyone have a doubt that Crosby wouldn’t perform in the NHL.. I think not, anyone who is around the game can tell who is gonna make it somewhere and who isn’t. Especially GM’s and NHL Scouts… THATS WHAT THEY GET PAID FOR! What do you think the Hab’s establishement was made by drawing names from a hat! NO! Use your heads, xhabsfan and joshtm, you guys think you can do a better job with the team! Honestly guys, if you could do something better then you wouldn’t be here typing on this blog would you now.. get real. And to say we have no veteran smarts is ridiculous, these guys play internationally, professionally and everything in between. Hammer has helped develope the soon to be best d-man in the league in a guy named Dion Phaneuf. And as much as I and everyone else despises Kovalev, he is always on the bench giving advice because he has an extreme knowledge of the game. Koviu too!
But this doesn’t mean anything because the Habs will not have to break everything down and rebuild. Where already almost there.. We are gonna have a good team this year, and even if we don’t, I’ll still be there cheering my *** off every game, and thats what makes a fan, not a guy who as soon as something goes wrong starts to cry and blame the GM or the coach or everything else that can be blamed, because blaming and crying is easy to do.. Xhabsfan and Joshtm might as well be leafs fans because all they do is cry, isn’t that what the tm stands for anyway josh?.
July 7, 2007 at 4:37 pm
By the way mysteryfan… Great posts #56 and 58-61, Awesome statistics
July 7, 2007 at 5:26 pm
RBK AND mysteryfan,HAVE YOU BEEN WATCHING THE SAME TEAM SINCE 93″habs”???Idont think so!!!Listen, you two pretty boys got to stop hobnobbing with your eye’s closed, your like a MARKOV slapshot missing everything! I’ll tell you what ,if we get into the play-offs I’ll be real happy ,but realisticly it’s not going to happen,Steve ****** Wonder can even see that!!!So YGFNMFALICSDW-DFG!LOL
