Canadiens visit struggling Sabres

  • Montreal is in Buffalo tonight to take on the Sabres in the first half of a home and home series in which ’8′ divisional points will be up for grabs. 2 points for the win, and 2 unattained divisional points for the loser.

The Sabres are coming off an absolute thrashing by the Senators who handed them a 10-4 loss.
The Sabres goalie problems continue, #1 Ryan Miller didn’t start the last game with a broken finger and the backup combination of Martin Biron and Mika Noronen were nothing less than brutal in the 10 goal pounding. Martin Biron is being shopped around the league and his head can’t be too focused on delivering the Sabres a stellar performance.

The Canadiens are rolling with 9 victories and a strong come from behind effort last game against Florida. They should take advantage of the Sabres situation and come up with victories. Anything less than 3 points here should be a bit of a dissapointment.

Back to back games might mean another chance for Yann Danis to get between the pipes.
