Claude Julien’s house is for sale. In a moment of humor when asked if he learned anything while coaching in Montreal, Julien said “don’t buy a house”.
The Ex-Canadiens bench boss held a press conference this afternoon to speak to the media regarding his termination. Overall Julien was calm and composed and at times a little emotional as you’d expect. At no time did he criticize Bob Gainey, the Canadiens management or any players.
Julien specifically mentioned he had no problem with how his tenure as coach came to end. – a 7:15 AM phone call which many media members chastised Bob Gainey for doing. Julien seemed very happy and honored to get a chance to coach the CH and wished the team well in the future.
Julien goes out with respect and honor and he goes out with a winning record. I had few if any problems with him during his time in Montreal and wish him the best of luck in the future and hope he gets back to the NHL one day.
