Danger Rangers

  • The Canadiens are 0-3 against the Rangers this year. Including most recently giving up a 3-0 lead at home en route to a 5-3 loss.

The Rangers have had a very up and down season, but for whatever reason pull it together when playing the Canadiens.

If the Canadiens cannot catch Ottawa and happen to finish 4th in the East they would likely play a middle of the pack team from the Atlantic Division. The Rangers are a very possible candidate for a 1st round playoff matchup. As are the Flyers who the Habs just handled fairly easily.

Expect Playoff intensity tonight. Expect Hollweg to go after Kovalev.

At this point of the season you have to believe the Canadiens realize where they stand. They know they are in a good spot, they are confident, they know they can compete with good teams.

All that’s left to do now is execute.

  1. I agree Ice Man….but good old Canadian boys that can have an actual impact are at a rarity…..seems other teams don’t wanna part with these guys either….I wonder why.

  4. I was agreeing with you Ice…..I was being sarcastic when I said I wonder why no one wants to part with them……I know its the heart and guts….my points proves your point….because they are such valued players it is very rare to get one at the deadline….these are the players that teams keep is my point.

I know what you meant Donnie…LOL

I just wanted to say it.

If montreal should go on to win the Stanley Cup this year. It will be the first NHL team to ever win the Cup with an European Captin.

  6. I don’t want to get anyone pissed off but Sundin would be the best for the habs. I’ve never liked Sundin but He’s 6’5″ and montreal needs some size. Sundins favorite team growing up as a kid was the Montreal Canadiens believe it or not. He said two years ago that he will win the cup before he retires and If he goes to Montreal It will all happen.

  7. But the Habs will probably get Alex Tanguay or Hossa, I’m just saying he’s the best playoff performer available.

  8. Right on Ice, lol…..I just want a good playoff run right now….I’m gonna start dreaming small at first, lol.
