Game 17: Habs/Islanders

  • Taking a night course on Thursday nights was just about the worst idea I’ve ever had. I signed up well before the start of the NHL season thinking “whatever.. they’re probably going to stink anyway”. On a Thursday night where the Habs are putting their Eastern Conference lead, and their 5 game winning streak on the line? Ya its going to be tough to give half of 1 sh!t about whatever nonsense my prof is on about tonight.

Montreal welcomes the Islanders into town for what actually has all the markings of a game that could be an entirely disappointing one, given Montreal’s historical propensity for laying total eggs when playing teams that they by all rights – should destroy. That isn’t to say that the Islanders don’t have very good players. John Tavares, Matt Moulson and Mark Streit can play on my team any day of the week. Still, Montreal is clearly the better of the two teams – and though I can’t watch tonight, it will be interesting to see how the Habs fare tonight.

    Go Habs Go!!
