Game 3: Habs/Flames

  • On Thursday night the Canadiens will play the first game of the season at the Bell Centre. Unfortunately they will do so without the services of: Markov, Campoli, Cammalleri, Spacek, and White. Luckily, Lars (Larry) Eller will make his first appearance of the year along with Aaron Pulashaj. Don’t expect the world from Eller, but given how bad his preseason went, Pulashaj is lucky to have this opportunity.

I’m on vacation in Mexico so I’m not sure whether I’ll catch the game, but I wanted to leave a spot for people to talk about the Habs vs Flames matchup. Calgary is a team I still hate because of ’89… Let’s hope for big things!

Well I would like to see us change up our PP to the following. First PP unit Pacioretty, Plex , Cole. PK an Weber.

Second PP unit Gio, David, AK46 Diaz and Gorges.

I would also like to see up bring up a couple of young guys to replace Cammy and Spacek. If Palushaj does not pan out then lets try another of the young guys. Our defence can manage but it would be nice to get someone like Nash in the lineup. Not sure if Nash is still injured or not.

Nash is still hurt but it will be critical that Yemelin step up. We need his physicality for our defense to have the proper balance.

  4. Right now Yemelin or Emelin (whatever) I do not think is ready to step up. He is just feeling his way right now, unfortunately he should have agreed to play in Hamilton for at least half a year to get used to the NA style as well as the rink.
