Everyone complains about Bob Cole: MSG announcers are clueless about the game. I’m surprised they even acknowledge that there are 2 teams out there. It makes Joe Bowen look unbiased.

  2. Ridiculous comment. Mike Emrick is in the Hall of Fame and is one of the best.

One of the best who called an even strength goal scored by a guy who was on a break away CLEARLY because he came out of the penalty box a short-handed goal. It took six CONSECUTIVE scoring chances by the Canadiens in the second for them to acknowledge that they were mounting a comeback. I’ll give him credit for being in the game for so long, but I can’t stand announcers who watch the game through the lens of their own team. Every hit Montreal made was high or dirty in some way.. the list goes on.

  4. The NHL website is predicting that Carey Price will score a hat trick in the all-star game.

It’s worth it to get RDS, even if you don’t speak french, it’s nice to hear announcers on our side for a change.

Problem is I live in Boston this year and couldn’t get RDS if I wanted. I’m at the mercy of Centre Ice which usually means the other team’s feed. Sometimes its better than others. Every time I watch MSG’s feeds I feel like ripping my ears off.

  7. HG, not sure what team you cheer for and by rights we understand you sticking up for your annoucer, but most of us who have been use to Danny Galivan and Foster Hewitt true icons in broadcasting hocking games most of these guys that do the job especially for the US teams are pure amateurs and could not even hold the above two’s microphones. It is frustrating to hear such bias all the time, either because the announcer has a personal hate for the team or because they simply do not understand the game. Sorry I again find myself agreeing with Matts.
