Game 64: Habs/Bruins

  • Carey gets the start tonight as Jaro has not had much rest of late. We’ll also get to see AK46 and Benoit Pouliot back in the lineup. I don’t like our positioning for the stretch at all. We’re not positioned well for a playoff run or a good draft pick. Deadline¬†approaching. New GM. New Owners who want to bring back the glory. Puck drops just after 7.

I agree i do not like our positioning either but the bottom line is we have 19 game to play and we must win a minimum of 12 of those games to be close to a playoff position. That means we need to win tonight. Team should be well rested. Hope Carey is not, how he plays tonight will depend on how many more games he plays this year.

I was hoping this year with our bigger defence that we would be more difficult to play against in and around our net. I am disappointed that we still get muscled off the puck in our crease when we play the bigger teams like Boston. I would like to see our defence be meaner and not allow players into the crease and protect the goalie, clear rebounds and put players on the a_s_s when they enter the crease.

If you watch the Bruins defence even when we make a harmless shot on their goal if we have a player within 5-10 feet of the net they have a glove or stick in our face.
In other words they attempt to intimidate on every play in their end.

If you haven’t in a while – everyone should read a Bruins’ blog. Its good for your soul to hear them saying the exact same things that we’ve been whining about for the last 2 seasons. High expectations, young struggling stars, bad contracts – mixed emotions about chances in the playoffs. It really is the only thing to feel good about as a Habs fan when your team is junk!

Horrible, dull game by 2 horrible, dull teams. One of em had to win…..should of flipped a coin and saved us all the turmoil of watching this crap.
“Come to Montreal….we take players who have been 4th liners all there lives and make them 1st and 2nd liners, with the addition of PP time because our overpaid, seen-better-days, half washed up “stars” cant get the job done. Padding wallets now seems to be where most of them have settled in there careers, and we are just desparate and stupid enough to roll the dice with them.
Sorry fans, we are stuck in limbo. A world of shit with no easy way out. With the exception of some little flukey run like we had 3 years ago when we played WAY above our heads for 2 months, this has been the same bland product on the ice….no matter the players, no matter the coach.
No heart, no desire to win, no burned-in pride from teams gone by. Big D who won’t hit, fast forwards who cant score, and a young goalie who has the enthusiasm of a wet tissue.
Markov is not ever helping us anymore. A team who cant score 5 on 5 and play with some testicles isnt gonna win.
7 Mil a year gotta bank you 90 points…even a point a game. Don’t remember our big 2 on the ice now being this bad in Jersey.
Please make sure these virsuses like Hamrlik are not there to connect themselves to a host like Subban when he comes up for good. The attitude and deminer of this team has to change at some point if we will ever be contenders again. Drop the summer camp attitude. Sound easy? Couldnt be done in the last 20 years. Gotta get it out of players heads that Montreal is a city to come to where you can make money, and, be a GOD if you do one fifth that Crosby does.
THERE ARE NO HEROES OR POSSIBLE HEROES ON THIS TEAM AND EVERY TEAM NEEDS A HERO !!!!
