If tonight’s game against the Hawks is tied late in the 2nd period – you can rest easy knowing that the third period will be played tighter than a…. well you get the picture. The Hawks and Habs both tenuously hold playoff positions, and are both in need of points. Wins are good, but losing in regulation is very bad. That is my prediction, and also why I believe that the Canadiens need to come out swinging early in their final home game of the season.
Cory Crawford should be amped up to play his first game in his home-town. That can be a very powerful force in Montreal – as we’ve seen stellar performances in the past by Quebec-born goalies. If Montreal is going to have a chance, they must get bodies in front of the net EARLY – in order to get Crawford to over-play shots from the point. If the Canadiens are content to stay near the outside, you can bet that Crawford will have a solid shot at a shutout.
Get those feet moving early!
Go Habs Go!!!
