I think you're overestimating the ability of the Canadiens. Their lineup has been depleted, and even when they're healthy, they're a borderline playoff team. How can you honestly say in good faith that this team should beat a particular opponent?

The Ottawa win was a fluke. Kovalev took the game over when the team was down and won the game. He can't possibly be expected to do that every night when the other scorers are out of the lineup.

I haven't seen the Canadiens much this season, but I do know that this team has to play its best game just to win a game by one goal. When they play average, they lose, and when they play bad, they lose big. This team has no gimmes and since they're not very good in the first place, I don't see how you can argue that a 4-2 loss to Washington is embarrassing.

I think your expectations of this club, like Jack Todd and the rest of the mainstream media, are a bit too high.

Well we lost to Wasighton again and it was the same old tune, we just dont look intereasted in the game and when the pressure is on we fold. I dont know what it will take to make Ribeiro, Bulis, Zednik and other players on the Canadiens to start start showing heart and a interest in the game there playing. If Montreal could get a trade for any one of those players right now that is worth their while they should take the chance and trade all three of them. I'm tired of watching them come out again and again leating teams like the Capitals beat Montreal. We have four games left on this road trip were we by all rights we should come out on top on each and every game besides the tough game were in for with the Hurricanes. Coach Julein got to start benching these players to start a fire under there ass or just dump them off to any poor sucker who is willing to take a chance on them.

Yeah they have to win, but after beating the Senators - travelling to ghost town Washington D.C and losing would be embarassing right? Well consider them embarassed.

Why do you keep saying the Canadiens have to beat teams like the Capitals?? The way Montreal has been battling injuries this season, they have to play their best game to win, regardless of the opponent. Kolzig butchers Montreal for a living, and although they had plenty of shots, they have no natural goal scorers besides Kovalev and Ryder. And you can't expect those fellas to score every night.
