Habs#1 The wild card is the draft…trade up and build.I believe he is looking for a centre.This will happen but the draft is something every team is preparing for.More trades are made on that day then any other.

On HNIC sattelite Hotstove this past saturday Pierre LeBrun and Eric(last name I can’t spell) laid out some intersting rumors involving some old cohorts of Carbs and Gainey’s from Dallas.

It looks like the Habs have more interest in Arnott than any other team and would be willing to pay more than anyone else to get him as they are very intersted in his services.

Also it sounds like if Jamie Langenbrunner hits the market they would be interested in bringing him to La Belle Province.

And lets not forget that they are likely to trade or get rid of Aebischer(only if Huet is re-signed within the next 12 days), and of course Ribeiro and Zednik. That is the wild card Gainey has up his sleeve.

One possibility that was mentioned earlier was to go out and get Selanne and Lethinen so that they can play with Koivu. However, they are not too stable (at least Selanne) and could show mediocre play and cost big money. Instead it seems that Gainey wants to get a good center and a good line for Kovalev, leaving Koivu to play with Ryder and Higgins.

Everyone probably has heard already, but Selanne re-upped with Anaheim for another year. I’m not surprised he stayed, but he could only get a year? Bummer that we couldn’t get him…

Larry Robinson already quit because of the stress. BUT he might not be as as stressfull with his old buddy Gainey.Depends ..then again Montreal is a very exciting and can be and stressfull environment for anyone on the team.Like Gainey sid it is something your are going want and expect if you com to this team.
