Pre-Season Game 1: Habs/Stars

Holy hell its Hockey Time!

Can you even believe it?

Its been a long summer with very little in the way of actual Habs news save for July 1st. The baseball season has done a good job of keeping me distracted, but its not the same. And while tonight is only a pre-season game with very few regulars in the lineup – it DOES count as hockey. I’m pumped.

Carey Price will start in goal. Word is that he preemptively told newspaper reporters to run with the headline: “Chill Out!” this morning.

7:30 PM Start time. RDS and Team 990 for the broadcast.

Senet1 : Bickell would be a good pickup.
HabsLoseAgain : He is a ufa if I am not mistaken. Seems to be having a good playoff so far.

Senet1 : Signing Drewiske may tell us that there are plans to remove Diaz, Weber and maybe even Markov. Drewiske did not have enough time to learn our defensive system and I am thinking that he was signed because they feel he can be a good defenceman for us with time to learn the system. It also tells me that probably only one of the young D-men will make our team that being Tinordi. Beaulieau will probably play (start) in Hamilton.
Mats Naslund : Habs sign Davis Drewiske to a 2 year extension. He basically makes league minimum. I like the signing. Nothing exciting - but you want him to hold the last spot until a young guy forces his way onto the roster.
