Thrasher Alert

  • So the Thrashers visit the Habs tonight in Montreal where Serge Savard’s #18 will get raised to the famous Montreal rafters.

The bad news about the Thrashers, they score a lot of goals. 75. Second only to Buffalo.

The good news, they allow a lot of goals. 5th worst in the League.

The key to the Thrashers has always been to contain their offense, take advantage of their weak defense. Easier said than done.

Cristobal Huet is getting the call as he has been the better of the two goalies in recent games.

Janne Niinimaa will watch from the press box again. Under what circumstances will he make a return to the starting roster? Dandenault is back, Bouillon is close. Janne may get an extended pass to the nosebleeds.

great news that Bouillon is coming back! Boy, did we miss him. I guess, and hope, that Ninnimaa is going down to the minors FOR GOOD!We won’t miss his lack of speed, no shot, or all his giveaways. But, again, are we ever going to have a 2nd line with chemistry, or one that can score goals?

  2. So long Kosty! 0 pts is 0 pts.

  3. Don’t be so hard on Janne Ninima he can provide some leadership to the Bull Dogs…and you never know who else might get hurt. Also, we have Traverse and he too can be a crutch if the conditions are right. Besides, we can’t just give either away. We should look to get something in return….any takers :(

I wanted to thank whomever provided the link to the Canadiens of the past…sure brought a smile and goose bumbs to see some of those players too bad they couldn’t put it all together to bring home the Cup.

Let’s hope the Canadiens bring the game face…still waiting for Kovalev and Sammy to show up. No where near the magic and production that they can deliver
    and we’re expecting.

    Go Habs Go!

  4. it’s hard to believe that 2 3rds of our second line forwards represents $7.2 million that’s just bad business !

A really cool website that gives the lines and the frquency of players that play with’n those lines together…pretty interesting.. enjoy!

    Go habs Go!

  5. Shame on Carbo and Gainey for getting rid of Kosty down to the minors, he made Kovalev and Markov play like the way they want, he complimented Souray’s moves…bad move overall…..trade Ninny and someone else for someone who can provide some leadership…for when Kovalev or Koivu decide to play like union players…
