Hossa for Heatley!

  • Just when you thought it was over!

Yesterday: Marian Hossa signs a 3 year deal that would pay him 18$ million over the next three seasons with the Senators.
A source said Hossa will earn $5 million this season, $6 million in 2006-07 and $7 million the following season.

Today: Marian Hossa is packing his bags for Atlanta.
In return? How about a player named Dany Heatley.

In 467 career games Marian Hossa has 188 goals and 202 assists.

Heatley, drafted second overall by the Altanta Thrashers in 2000, has 80 goals and 181 points in 190 career games.

    Which team will fair better?
    Only time will tell!

  1. Personally I think Ottawa by far got the better player between Hossa and Heatley. Heatley is going to really help Ottawa. Losing a good solid defenseman never helps though!! But I think for Heatley, it was worth it.

Time will tell but I see Heatley having an amazing season with the Sens and look forward to seeing him play some games against the Habs. Much better than having him way down in Atlanta!!

    Cheers,
